The first material for the project is done! I started with the top layer for walls - the brushed paint. Hopefully it will be versatile enough to be also reused other painted props, but we'll see

Made some pipes/wires/vent kits draft, and polished a blockout here and there. I think it's good enough to communicate the main project idea, so I can move to actually working on some content!
Started replacing some of the blockout props with drafts, gathering references and planning the props list
Worked a bit on values distribution and lighting for my courtyard project, decided to add some warm lighting to bring more attention to the focal point
After some exploring, I came up with three points of interest for the storytelling layer: a "plant lover" balcony, a "neighbors meeting room", and a motocycle! This provide some variety for props to work on and stories to tell, will see how it comes😄
Started a new project, wanted to focus on a mundane scene with lots of simple objects so that I could focus more on storytelling and mood. I was inspired by one of the courtyards in Lviv that I visited a couple of years ago. Here is a simple blockout with some composition ideas.
Some painterly bottles, everything is fully opaque, using cubemaps for fake transparency.
Nothing really new to show from my 3D art at this #PortfolioDay, so here some recent environment studies from my sketchbook, that I like
Hello, #PortfolioDay! I'm Vladyslav, an Environment Artist with over 5 years of experience in #GameDev. I like making environments, playing dark fantasy games, and sculpting rocks in ZBrush :D artstation.com/silchukart
For the last six months I almost didn't draw, as I was busy with other things. In the next six months, my goal is to change that! So here are some random pinterest rocks to start with.
Another sketch, medieval tower ruins. I love medieval ruins.
Trying to get back into the habit of sketching, will post some of my favorite here to keep myself accountable. I'm trying to treat it more like a hobby, that's why it's on craft paper with fineliners/markers instead of digital. Small sketch from a random reference.
I haven't shown anything for a while, want to get back into the habit of modeling for fun. Here is a quick little blockout study from reference, done in Blender roughly in 2-3 hours. I like how it turned out, maybe I will develop this idea further into small UE5 environment.

After days of polishing and fixes, I'm happy to call this project complete and present it to you! It's inspired by the awesome concept art of Grady Frederick. Check more screenshots and breakdowns on Artstation - artstation.com/artwork/VJ0mrn #gameart #environmentart #UnrealEngine5
Another major update! Completely reworked the lighting of the scene, now it's much closer to the original concept. Also added small VFX effects. I'll continue work on additional shots, and maybe even try to record a small gif. If you have any feedback, I'd really appreciate it!
Decided to spend some time polishing the main entrance to make it look older, so added more grunge and cracks decals to it. Also made a simple moss shader for other assets to make rock materials more interesting.
Here is the current progress on my personal project in UE5, finally replaced the previous temporary Megascans grass with handmade by me. I think it drastically changed the scene's feeling and made it closer to concept art, so I'm happy with the result. A small breakdown of the process is below 👇
Here is the current status of a project on which I've been working for some time. Besides beautiful images, my goal is to share a lot of rough and WIP screenshots to show the process behind it. I'm a big fan of seeing other artist's WIPs, so want to share mine too :D
So, briefly about me - I'm a 3D Environment Artist with over 5 years of experience, worked on AAA titles in the biggest outsourcing and product studios in Ukraine. Currently, I'm working on my new personal project, and excited to share my progress with you!
Hello, BlueSky! Glad to join you here, and I hope it will be a lot better Twitter alternative. I want to share some personal art that I do and engage more with other talented artists on this platform. So can't wait to meet new people here :)
