Got some stuff figured out today. First and foremost, the new JAB (PDX punk) vinyl/digital album will be up for presale on September 4th. Sonic blasts of righteous punk rock fury!

I still say that it would be cool if @dc.com would greenlight a new Uncle Sam & The Freedom Fighters comic thats just the team traveling from state to state beating the sh*t out of Nazis, Klansmen, Fascists, & White Supremacist Scumbags every issue! Now that would be a satisfying read! Just sayin.
Happy birthday to Bucket from The Toasters! This man has had my back through thick and thin.
A friend and bandmate just survived a slashing attack by a man armed with a machete! If anyone has followed my tale of nearly being murdered by a man in almost similar fashion nearly three years ago, you may understand why my PTSD is acting up.
The JAB 7” is off to be pressed!
I watched “Disclosure Day” and thought it was great. Great pacing and I thought, as someone who works in broadcast media, the “t.v. show” and “video uplink” scenes were well done and mostly technically accurate. 8.5/10
Here's what we caught this week for new #Ska releases. Feels light, so I'm probably missing more than usual (LMK!). New music from: Buena Suerte, Beat The Smart Kids, Los Calzones, G-MEN, UNFUNFAIR, Dope Times, and more! www.reddit.com/r/Ska/s/7ld6...

It’s lightning, not lightening, if we’re talking about weather phenomena. FFS.
I’ve been getting such good reactions from this new dirty reggae single, and it’s only available so far on Bandcamp. Check it out - it is really good and not just because I played on it.

Test pressings for SDP022 are here! Five blasts of righteous punk rock fury from Portland, Oregon. I can’t wait for the world to hear JAB’s vinyl/digital release on Simmerdown Productions!
Two years in a row recently, the wildfire smoke in Portland was dreadful. I send my thoughts out to Canada and those folks in the Midwest and Northeast.
Hahahaha! So happy that I’m the one who never compromised my values.
A guy I really respect has asked to do some alternate mixes of The PAQ Project (thepaqproject.bandcamp.com) and I can’t wait to hear what he comes up with.

I ran into a person in the Portland ska community last night as I was leaving my local pub. My barkeep was talking shit (jokingly) as I left. My ska music friend (I found out later) said, “Be nice to him, he’s a legend.” And this shit just warms my heart. More life!
If you like The Aggrolites, these tunes will be right up your alley.
Two dirty reggae tracks from The P.A.Q. Project out now!
This week’s Artist of the Week is Stranger Cole. A true pioneer of ska, rocksteady and reggae, Stranger Cole played a defining role in the development of Jamaican music. Explore the music and enduring legacy of one of the genre’s great voices https://Trojan.lnk.to/strangercoleFA
I bought The Specials’ first album the week it came out.

I’ve got more stickers than you have time.
I’ve got such a great dirty reggae 2-song single coming out on Friday! It sounds like Ernest Ranglin, Lynn Taitt, Jackie Mittoo, and The Aggrolites! Damn, it’s good! (Note: I play drums on the tracks, but I am seriously proud of it and it really grooves!)
JAB 9-song punk rock extravaganza out soon! The PAQ Project out July 10th - two dirty reggae tracks for your summer playlist! Poison Idea / Western Standard Time in the chute!
Based on the authority vested in me (by me), I have decided to release The PAQ Project debut single on July 10th! I just received the mastered tracks from Dubrobot at Tranquility BA53. Two scorching dirty reggae tracks suitable for any summer soundtrack, ya heard?!
I’ve released a couple of the best ska albums in history, but wait until you hear this punk release from JAB! At the least, one of the best punk records to come out of Portland! Produced by Jerry A. (Poison Idea), Justin Phelps, and me.
The PAQ Project is off to be mastered for digital & vinyl. I’ll do digital first and see what we come up with. Two great skinhead reggae tracks that sound like Lynn Taitt and Ernest Ranglin meets The Aggrolites. I’m serious when I say few four-piece bands have sounded as good.
My dear friend and bandmate in Franceska and The Sentiments, Erin Wallace, and I will be sitting down to discuss the bands’ histories and the goings-on at Simmerdown Productions for the Ska History Hour podcast in the coming days. Details soon!
The masters for the new JAB (Portland punk) release are fucking great!
Getting the new record mastered today! Fuck yeah! One more mix session for the next record on Monday! Fuck yeah!

Heart going out tonight to everyone in Venezuela. Devastating.
My favorite Venezuelan ska band - Don Khumalo. I can’t imagine what it would be like to have a dementia-addled dictator interfering in your country’s affairs. But then I guess it’s the same as it ever was with the U.S.
