What does it mean to trust a machine with the act of becoming? Simulacra Goose explores AI as a speculative tool. I ask it to generate music as if it were a goose, compose movement— finish mine— as if it had a body. The result is a recursive dialogue of mistranslation. Schuylerdragoo.com/portfolio

People like to think of AI as this magic/mysterious black box. Thinking about AI being used to understand nonhuman animals… As it’s being used to decode animal language (a la Project CETI— amazing), we have to remember AI isn’t neutral— it’s full of human assumptions.

“We’re not going to deal with the climate emergency or the fracturing of the foundations of democracy unless we can reassert a confidence in human thinking and judgment. And everything in the AI world is working against that.” @philipcball.bsky.social speaks to @shannonvallor.bsky.social on AI

I like asking AI weird questions— like what are the ethics of becoming a goose? My work explores speculative AI, human-nonhuman relationships, and perception. Expect speculative art, experiments in the posthuman realm, and a bit of goose philosophy. 🌀🦢 Let’s get weird. #newmediaart
