Did we know, gang, that you can wildcard filter on AO3? EXCLUDE "*/NAME" will filter *all* ships with that character. maybe I'm the last to know!

A hill I have recently wished to die on: a sex scene does not work without the author thinking through permission and consent. Maybe these characters Would Never; that's ok, if you've thought about it! but how these characters would or wouldn't is 100% crucial to who they are as people & in bed.

anyone got a pro hockey romance they love? mm, mf, ff, other, all great, but please no female figure skater falls for male hockey player. (pro writing, not pro hockey)

So I love skating, roller, figure and apparently also hockey, but I’ve hit a firm plateau in terms of improvement, which depresses me. like, I just want to get better, ok, because I am not very good.

I went swimming in Middle Dock at Canary Wharf with C today and it was great! Lovely long pool set in the dock itself but w/ nicer water, underneath the sprawl of buildings, and today at least the unheated water temp was 19.5 deg. (Big, hopeful, lonesome sign: WETSUITS FREE ALL JULY)

Long outdoor pool set within wooden pontoons amid more water - people sunbathing, others swimming in the deep green.

I went to my very first ice hockey practice tonight and had a lovely time on the ice! I am so terrible at all forms of organised sport! Still a lovely time!

So this is a little mean cos they rly meant well & were trying their best! But i once had a copyeditor ask why they couldn’t find a Gaelic phrase I had used in any source. ….apparently they thought it was a dead language. Like Latin or Norn.

If you see this, please tell me the worst/most baffling bit of creative feedback you've ever recieved. Mine is still the time somebody told me my aliens had names that were too alien. Not that they were unpronounceable, just that they didn't sound enough like human names.
