The rush to accuse, without anything approaching due diligence, artists of using "AI," should be treated with contempt. An artist gets their work *ripped off* to train a plagiarism machine, which then shits out inferior versions of that work, so then you accuse the artist of using "AI"? Fuck you.

This is ridiculous, no one is safe. Artists Ive followed for actual decades are getting harassed because their work has been stolen and regurgitated.
Today is the "My Hoopla won't work day." No one in library school said, "You'll spend most of your day trying to fix a device that you can't even see."

LIBRARIES BUY BOOKS. In fact, they buy ebook licenses with rather unfavorable terms because of how much the service benefits the community. The only people getting screwed in this situation are libraries and library users. The only people doing the screwing are publishers.
My co-worker has had a piece of information for 40 years and hasn't done anything to program around it. My department has decided to. Now I am encroaching on her territory and have failed to consult with her. This is how much I care at this point about her pouting

Ordered a pumpkin latte with real pumpkin in it. I love pumpkin, but this is terrible. Still I hate throwing it out as I paid for it. Ugh
