Ernest Hemingway's three words on how bankruptcy occurs also applies to how democracy is lost: "Gradually, then suddenly."

Yep. Earlier this year I was interviewed by Sharyn Alfonsi of 60 Minutes about my Epstein investigation. Subsequently, CBS pulled the segment and fired the reporter. The MAGA buyout of media is aiding the Trump administration’s Epstein cover up.

Banks permitted millions in suspicious transactions tied to Epstein—and former 60 Minutes correspondent Sharyn Alfonsi had the story months ago. But the report would never air. trib.al/ZShZlIS

"Let’s be absolutely clear: these documents are not the legal fix they are purported to be, but instead, they are political cover. The move is nothing more than legal sleight of hand to dupe the media and get the remaining “concerned” Republican senators on board." open.substack.com/pub/meidasto...

Todd Blanche’s Midnight Confirmation Gambit Doesn’t Actually Rewrite Trump’s Deal

And the “concerned” senators and much of the media are falling for it.

FYI: Blanche rescinded the ORDER establishing the slush fund, not the underlying “settlement.” The settlement says any changes must be agreed to by ALL parties, not just Todd. This “rescission” isn’t worth the paper it’s printed on.

Blanche's signature on a "revised agreement" of a "settlement" adjudicated to be a fraud on the court, "continues to bar the IRS...from pursuing pending or past tax claims and audits prior to May 18, 2026, for Trump, two of his sons, and the Trump Organization." So there it is: deal, no deal.

Trump Administration Plans to Upend Head Start by Deregulating It (Gift Article)

The White House tried but failed to block funding for preschool for poor children. Instead, it will seek to strip away standards on health, literacy — and brushing teeth.

A New Trump Rule Would Lower Standards at Head Start and Exclude Immigrants From the Program

The Trump administration is on the verge of releasing a proposed rule that would eliminate crucial quality standards at the nation’s preschool program for low-income children.

Talarico: When I get tough questions, I answer them. When Ken Paxton gets tough questions, he runs away, literally runs away from reporters, from voters, from anyone asking hard questions. If you've given an Epstein style sweetheart deal to a child predator, you should have to answer questions.

"The fact that our elected officials don’t really have to prove that they can walk, talk, and think coherently—while we still pay them—is disgraceful. Maybe Beshear should just pay McConnell a visit himself, and bring a camera crew with him." newrepublic.com/post/213614/...

The Trump administration’s bumbling effort to pretend it’s not fighting a war has pushed it into covering up the deaths of American soldiers.
