I love Warcraft. I have been able to make some, in my opinion, pretty cool things drawing on that love. However, in my year or so of being 'online' with Warcraft, I've slowly felt that appreciation dwindle. Despite meeting a lot of incredible people through this place and others (cont.)
The entire 12.1 campaign has been torn apart, dissected and turned into drama weeks before the first chapter of it even hit live servers. The PTR cycle, and having the story visible at all on it, is fundamentally broken and smothering the story while it's still in the cradle.

This Saturday we are holding our final (!!) Tidesage Holiday RP event: The Boralus Mermaid Festival! We're planning to go out with a bang - this is a Pride Event where we will be retelling the canon Kul Tiran folkstory "Why the Mermaids Left Boralus", aka the tale of Sister Ery!
12.1 is another patch where Blizz didn't really bother hiding story spoilers. Datamining spoilers definitely harms the game, but I think to an extent the same can be said for openly posting/talking about them. I don't care how upset/annoyed you are, it is not your prerogative to spoil it for others.
I have once again let the annoying opinions of the loud minority color my viewpoint. Still think that there's still some issues with the whole thing, BUT it was immature of me to vaguepost. Having opinions on this site is hard. New patch will be good. Amani lore is sick. :)

I played a little xiv off-stream. Just beat Titan. I got back to the waking sands and said I was probably gonna stop there, a friend told me not to head inside if that was the case. I didn't listen. I should have listened.
They always say the journey is worth more than the destination.. But in Warcraft land we just get out a really big telescope and look at the destination from here and argue about what we see It saves SO MUCH time
okay yeah this is a lil ridiculous i read spoilers readily so im not bothered, but yall— i know ur upset abt PTR lore, but please put spoiler warnings for the next WoW patch on ur posts. somehow. SOMEWAY. yall are legit just saying the major end story beat out loud, and its kinda shitty.

Flip Method@flipmethod.bsky.social · 2mo agoAll 7 BATTLE PETS coming in patch 12.1. No sign of new trainers or any way to battle in a midnight zone. There are 23 Peaceful can't battle (I won't show those) pets (one is the embodiment of rage and the is a posion elemental))
