Mr. America

"The Simpsons" is a documentary. Homer is the median American. Formerly SkinnerBoxUSA at the other place. IFBAV.

Boom. Not just "this is the way," or even the *best* way -- this is the *only* way. Forget lame overtures at fake civility -- Dems can no longer afford to allow their bottom-feeding opponents the luxury of even being taken seriously. "Mike is a bootlicking wuss." Perfect. bsky.app/profile/atru...

El-Sayed: "Mike Rogers is a guy who wants to put a data center in your backyard so he can make himself feel a little more manly by making an AI video ... he's a guy who went back to Florida so he could lick every single boot Donald Trump owns to bet for his endorsement."

lol, lmfao even Short of tumbrels and guillotines (which still wouldn't be a bad idea!), the best way to get the useless failson-brunchlord class to stick with their decadent do-nothing excuses for a life is to simply cut them out of the loop and stop taking their calls. bsky.app/profile/wsj....

New York City’s business elites are long accustomed to direct access to City Hall, where even Democratic mayors felt the need to court the city’s wealthiest and most influential corporate leaders. That access is getting shredded by Mayor Zohran Mamdani.

This is the seat that was held by Cawthorn. (Remember *that* dipshit?) This is "dead girl / live farm animal" territory. If a burrowed tick like Chuck Edwards is bailing because of "ethics censure," the internals must be dismal. [Mortal Kombat voice]: Finish them. Drive them back to their holes.

Yes, the one who couldn't win a primary in her own party despite a $55 MILLION dollar advantage—much of it from a PAC that would prefer to see the Republican win anyway—is the more "electable" one, the one who can really reach voters. That is a thing people believe.

The two people who are breaking through the noise and cutting through to the essence of what is happening right now with deeply damaged Donald Trump are Jon Ossoff and Hunter Biden. Here is Hunter's very perceptive take on the messy scene at the White House Correspondents Dinner:

You can never just move on from this, even after he's gone. Without punishment and ostracism for everyone who has participated in his crime spree over the last 18 months you can forget it- we're all just treading water until the next tyrant

Possibly even more damning is that by the twisted logic of these Israeli leaders, every Israeli civilian shares responsibility for what Netanyahu and the IDF have done -- are still doing -- even though many of them have made it clear they don't support any of this. bsky.app/profile/edro...

People who deny the genocide at Gaza are denying not only the effects but also the clearly articulated intentions of the Israeli leadership. www.everythingishorrible.net/p/genocides-...

A UN commission laid out the logic. Israeli leaders clearly and repeatedly stated their intention to destroy the people of Gaza in whole or in part. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Gaza was a "wicked city"-explicitly condemning the entire territory, not just Hamas or civilians. President Isaac Herzog said, "it's an entire nation out there that is responsible. It is not true, this rhetoric about civilians who were not aware and not involved." Brigadier General David Bar Khalifa told his soldiers, "We shall go out to it [the enemy] in war, we shall pulverize every accursed plot of land from which it came, we shall destroy it and the memory of it ..."
These leaders frame Palestinian people in Gaza as evil enemies to be exterminated.
When leaders use such rhetoric, it shows intent to commit genocide.
That intent has been backed up with actions.
Israel soliders have killed tens of thousands of Palsteinians. As the report states.

My thoughts on Bluesky not being welcoming to Republicans is Trump blocks disaster relief to states voting blue, & is also legally codifying anyone who opposes him as a terrorist deserving violence, & his kidnapping brute gangs terrorize the streets, & there's much more but I'm out of characters

"Bluesky is a political echo chamber" okay but I'm mostly here to chat with fun internet people and post art and make jokes, I cannot stress how much I don't care

Two elections, three justices on the Court and so forth. But it has failed because it didn't consolidate power. It's purely their fault. Had they spent money and not tried to blow up the government they could've had 20-30 years. The sentiments and factions it harnessed still exist. Therefore -

Something I think that underlies a lot of debates within the Democratic party and center-left right now is whether or not you think Trumpism has been successful as a political and ideological project. (Not, obviously, whether it's been good or not).

lol, lmao even The "law" is whatever the nine rented law wizards at the top of the legal food chain decree it is. 😤 This is precisely why Dems need to vow and commit to investigations and prosecutions all the way down the line the very second they return to power. bsky.app/profile/empt...

Judge Williams SPECIFICALLY said it was illegal under 26 USC 7217 for Blanche to immunize Trump on tax crimes. storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.us...

Moreover, the Release Order, signed only by Acting Attorney General Blanche,
extends a blanket grant of immunity to all Plaintiffs and their families and “affiliates,” and
precludes all “current or possible” investigations or actions before any other agencies or
departments.50 The Release Order also purports to bar the IRS from conducting any
future tax audits of President Trump, his sons, and their entities.51 This provision directly
contravenes 26 U.S.C. § 7217, titled “Prohibition on executive branch influence over
taxpayer audits and other investigations,” which states:
It shall be unlawful for any applicable person to request, directly or
indirectly, any officer or employee of the Internal Revenue Service to
conduct or terminate an audit or other investigation of any particular
taxpayer with respect to the tax liability of such taxpayer.
26 U.S.C. § 7217(a).
The explicit text of this statute prohibits President Trump and his lawyers—one of
whom was former White House Counsel—from asking for or promoting termination of an
audit directed toward him.52 And acquiescing to any such demand is wholly incompatible

I am not engaging in the least bit of hyperbole when I assert clearly that there is literally no point at all in voting for any candidate or party that does not vow and commit to hounding every one of these perpetrators to prison and/or bankruptcy. bsky.app/profile/kyle...

FLAG: Trump gets to keep tax immunity for himself, his sons, and the Trump Organization under the new 'deal' struck by Todd Blanche. The new order also reaffirms that Trump won't have to pay any taxes he might have owed the IRS.

What does the establishment do if socialism manages not only to overcome the obstacle of its branding, but becomes a political *asset*? What if people *want* it? What if it’s smug satisfied centrism that is the political liability? Whatever else, it’s gonna make Bill Maher’s head pop like a zit.

Thinking aloud for a moment, so I'm just going to screenshot instead of the usual quote-tweet, but not only is there merit to both aspects of the argument here, I think it also applies to other areas such as voting choices and even the use-prevalence of AI tools.

Bild

Lol, did he even bother to pretend to explain why, or just stick his jaw out and give the usual "because I said so, the fuck you gonna *do* about it?" Openly corrupt. Not even trying to hide it. Maybe someone should at least *commit* to Doing Something About It. bsky.app/profile/carl...
