“Link needs OUR help” with a picture of a male Tuxedo cat with a triforce of courage charm on his collar

Last night, my friends and I received awful news that our best friend River’s cat, Link was likely dying.
He hadn’t been eating dry food the day before, then he stopped eating altogether yesterday.
River and its family took Link to the vet where they learned he was no longer producing white blood cells…aka…possible bone cancer. He also has either a mass or blockage in his stomach

Link is an old man and River wants to give him the best care it can offer in his sunset years, so I started Links Sunset Fund to assist River with the medical costs, end of life care, cremation, and an urn.

River works as a caretaker for her grandfather who has diementia and only gets laid an absurd $7, so she cannot afford this, even with isurance (which she, sadly, does not have)

River is a disabled intersex indigenous woman living in a very red state, so any and all support is greatly appreciated

If you read the whole thing, thank you very much. Please consider sharing this GoFundMe anywhere you can. River means the world to me, our friends, and her beloved partners; and by extension, so does Link. It’s time to give Link the comfortable sunset he deserves.
The GoFundMe is in my bio

as a parent I cannot imagine how absolutely fucking heartbreaking and awful it must be to have to put out a statement like this because the federal government killed your son and is telling monstrous lies about him

Jeff Rueter@jeffrueter.bsky.social · 9mo ago

Kare 11 local news just read, in full, this statement from Michael and Susan Pretti, the parents of Alex Pretti. "Please get the truth out about our son."

Statement from Michael and Susan Pretti
Parents of Alex Jeffrey Pretti

“We are heartbroken but also very angry.

Alex was a kindhearted soul who cared deeply for his family and friends and also the American veterans whom he cared for as an ICU nurse at the Minneapolis VA hospital. Alex wanted to make a difference in this world. Unfortunately, he will not be with us to see his impact.

I do not throw around the ‘hero’ term lightly. However, his last thought and act was to protect a woman. The sickening lies told about our son by the administration are reprehensible and disgusting. Alex is clearly not holding a gun when attacked by Trump’s murdering and cowardly ICE thugs. He had his phone in his right hand and his empty left hand is raised above his head while trying to protect the woman ICE just pushed down, all while being pepper sprayed.

Please get the truth out about our son. He was a good man. Thank you.
