obvi I'm working on a thing for the Heritage Fest rn, got a lot of the historical information and stories but have only personally been in Wellington for eleven years so I'm missing some of the vibes of these places.
Specifically looking for the experiences/vibes/sensory feelings/little moments/anecdotes of what it was like to go to the cinemas in Wellington that are now closed that might not have been specifically written about.
From what I understand there's been about 25+ cinemas that existed in the region in the last 100 years and have since closed; tell me what it was like going to them!
Also, relatedly - the premiere of Return of the King here in Wellington, what was that day like? It looked wild in the footage.
[not for verbatim use, just looking for more than just light historical writing to populate the dialogue, thank you
