Went for a hike up near Brighton yesterday. Great time. Saw a baby woodpecker waiting impatiently for its parent to return with food.
Hard to believe I haven't done so yet, but it's time to start making my way through the Hainish Cycle. I've only read LeGuin's Earthsea trilogy, which blew me away, many years ago. Time to explore the rest. Long overdue. Looking forward to it.

Do. Not. Disturb. The. Mysterious. Ancient. Rune-inscribed. Skull-adorned. Ring. Found. In. The. Idyllic. Countryside. Seriously, there's a whole book about this. And movies. Long ones!
It’s almost like none of this was ever remotely about protecting Jews
SCOOP: The Antisemitism Awareness Act — up for vote in Senate committee tomorrow — now has a religious liberty clause to protect ‘Jews killed Jesus’ statements by Christian conservatives. New added language in the bill clarifies First Amendment protections. More ⬇️ forward.com/fast-forward...

Being in another city for a conference is so much more enjoyable when there is a comic convention happening at the same time. It’s so awesome seeing crowds of people—friends, families, individuals—all in happy, full self expression, and all completely nerding out. I love it.
This is Salt Lake City, Utah. Amazing turnout for #HandsOff rally in a deep red state.
