I'm not around VRC as much as I would like. I work too much. So few people in VRC actually know me but so many seem to have an opinion on me. I wish people would just take 10 minutes to talk in VRC and ask me anything before hating on me on this platform. I will meet anyone if they want to chat.

Something I want to share with you that someone very important in my life taught me and helps me a lot: “I have all 10 fingers, I have all 10 toes, I’m alive, I’m breathing, I’m present. The world existed before me and will continue long after I go, I’m grateful to be here for it right now.”

The best way you can offer others grace (and, truly, yourself) is to just listen with the intent to understand. We all have to do a *lot* more listening, I think.

I would love to see the development of some model that makes it fiscally sustainable to pay more artists in VRChat, without ruining what everyone loves about the space. Nobody's gotten it right yet, but it's worthwhile to see people try.

I'd love to talk about this. You're right. A real conversation is overdue. Could we just meet and talk in VRC - no BlueSky? I really want to learn how other people feel about this and others have been doing this far longer than me (clearly).

In all seriousness though, I think this community needs to have a real conversation about monetization. As much as this community runs on goodwill and friendship, when you get to a certain size and start doing IRL things, that /does/ cost money. I can see the line, but it's blurry, and that's hard.

But a big point of that piece is that maintaining a subculture is hard because if you put the wall up too high, or get too fucking angry and chase out people all the time, then you are basically creating an unsustainable culture where it becomes inevitable that entropy will eventually kill it.

Last couple of days have been rough, but most of the people commenting have never met me. If you want to know who I am and what I believe in I'm down to meet anyone to chat in VRC. I know I've made some misguided mistakes, but I love this community just like you do.

I screwed up. I’ve listened to the community, realised it was wrong, and VRC.Club will be scrapped and won’t be suggested or repeated again. Sorry, if I dropped the ball on this one. It hurt to see how some people reacted to this, but I’m learning.
