The Shatnerverse is basically a series of examples of why Kirk, and to a lesser extent the TOS crew is better than the TNG crew In one of the later books the crew of the Enterprise E conduct a complex escape plan, which turns out to be a trap and they immediately get recaptured.

Everyone talks about the Welsh bloke saying "diarrhea-ah!" in the Pepto Bismol advert, but nobody talks about the fact that nobody at the back is doing the right dance. Wonder if that's why they were put at the back...
Watching this #odyssey film, and there are some serious liberties being taken with the historical accuracy. It's set 25 years ago, yet they've already visited a moonbase, and now they're on a spaceship going to Jupiter!

Saw the trailer for The Odyssey earlier, didn't see anything controversial, but then again I'm not looking for it. Well, I know a character used the term "dad", but unless you're doing the whole thing in ancient Greek, it's going to be filtered through the language of a later age anyway.
