My example is small potatoes, but I literally just got off the phone with my doctor's office which decided to bill me for my recent well check (which is supposed to be fully covered by insurance) because *something* my doctor and I discussed wasn't preventative.

every once in a while a nice author friend from Canada reaches a point where they have to ask their nice author friend in the US why their readers are trying to shove dollar bills up their noses, and I have to give them The Most Depressing Talk Ever

Last day of the Smashwords Sale! Here's a lil thread of my 4 novels which are on sale for only 99 cents. 🌈📚 🌈💜 💙📚 #Romancelandia

Four of my queer romances are only 99 cents this week at Smashwords! If you 💙 an epub you can read anywhere, check 'em out. First, SHAKE THINGS UP, an FFM road trip romance: www.smashwords.com/books/view/1... Tipsy bowling, hella flirting, bi-pan solidarity, & a warm and optimistic polyam HFN.

Shake Things Up is the second book in the Love at Knockdown series. Read if you like: polyamory, road trips, sapphic crushes, bi awakening, and nerdy talk. The cover shows three white people holding hands, one shorter blond woman, one taller woman with long dark hair, and one nerdy-looking guy with dark hair who thinks Tevas are awesome.

One of the good things about Kobo Plus is that Kobo doesn't demand ebook exclusivity in order to enroll titles (unlike Amazon and Kindle Unlimited). Worth knowing, if you like your favorite authors being able to sell their books across multiple stores!

Kobo is running a promotion for their Kindle Unlimited competitor service Kobo Plus, from now through August 4 where you can get a 14-day free trial and then your first month after that is 99 cents- might be a good time to check it out if you've been wanting to! Unsure if this promo is US-only!
