You know I'll admit ive been feeling super out of it and depressed all summer. I keep pushing along but motivation has been rough. Alot of worrying about stuff. Health care, taxes, all that fun stuff. I try to post happy things but i apologize if my posts and responses have been really negative.
Old sketch but new drawing. I have a bunch of little drawings. For some reason i drew Paula Polestar with a melting chocosicle or whatever its called. #earthbound is still one of my favorite sources of inspiration. Its just so weird but the modern setting is fun :)
I'm always so worried about posting old stuff. The fact is I've been drawing for 2 decades, but Its only in the last few years that ive been getting any notice at all. Here's some old #kidlitart pics from the past I also don't always remember the context.

A couple random pics this week. The first i think i drew months ago and forgot about. I'm sure Archie is just grumpy because people don't know what her sweater means. The second was drawn the other day for a pic i ended up redrawing the girl for, but i like how the original came out :)
Its a bit late but i had to do something for #NationalFoxDay Ive drawn this one a few times. He name is Susan, but everyone calls her Socks. She's engaging in her second favorite past time. The first is spying on "nefarious" types ;)

Thinking back to todays #kidlitchat, or well yesterdays given my sleep problems. It really made me think about the issues many of us have with communication in the art world and beyond. Especially those of us on the Autism spectrum. It is so wonderful to have people ready and willing to help.
Anyways I did a moon last night cause I was so excited for Zelda news. Painted in photoshop.
A very interesting thread admittedly from two years ago. When I was a kid my mother tried to test me for autism as best as she could, but the system in 1990s Utah was not great, what they did diagnose was a non verbal learning disorder, which I though was insane because I am definitely verbal.
Martha Crawford@whatashrinkthinks.com · 2y agoFYI: Non-verbal Learning Disorder - (NVLD or NLD) means that the person has disabilities that DO NOT effect their verbal processing - often challenges are primarily clustered around their visual processing, visual memory, visual recall, visual strategies. Folks with NLD are often hyper-verbal.
🎉 Last Friday, my most enduring "OC" Daniel, who is also the mascot of this profile, turned 31 years young. He definitely ages much better than me. So it was about time to make a detailed post telling his story, his changes over the years, and what's ahead for me and my troupe of characters.
I really need to strive to do this too. I think we all do. Its not to say we cant be concerned, but we have to take care of ourselves too. Lets all try to uplift each other :) #illustration #art

These enigmatic stone spheres play a role in the general plot of my Coativille GN/comic pitch. There is still a lot of mystery surrounding them. In fact you can see my kids here around a half-buried one. (This was a teaser cover, different from the one finally used for the comic's print run)

Thinking they might contain treasure, workers tried drilling or blowing them up. Let's talk about the 'Diquís Spheres'.

Vaccines have nothing to do with autism. Also I wish people weren’t afraid of autism because they knew disability can happen to anyone, plus if they DID have a high support autistic child like my son, they would have a solid road map, community, and resources to support them. If only. #VaccinesWork
