I love the Mariners and the Kraken. Cat mom x3, prolific pet sitter, reader of all the books, animal shelter volunteer, and kitten foster parent. Current foster count: 4 Former foster count: 28

I just got back from a fantastic few days of volunteering with Greater Good Charities and Team Okanogan Animal Rescue for The Big Fix! Met some great people, TNR’d a bunch of cats, and managed to get in some post-spay/neuter dog snuggles to help them wake up. Highly recommend! #Cats #TNR #GGC #TOAR

Color photograph of a very large, domestic long hair, brown tabby tom cat in a wire cat trap. I had to do a double take to make sure I hadn’t accidentally caught a raccoon. This boy is thicc!Color photograph of a trail camera image of a silver colored wire cat trap, commonly known as a drop trap, with the door partially up. I had rigged it with a drone clip so that we could trap only specific cats. This medium hair, buff colored boy had already been fixed, and therefore was not my target demographic. The little butthead ate half of the smelly sardines that I left for the fluffy cat that cannot really be seen behind the trap. However, he vacated the premises shortly thereafter, and we finally caught the one we were looking for.

My boys are so good at hurrying over to their places to look relaxed. I think they’re trying to act normal. Are they super spies who spent the night trying to take down a global crime syndicate? Or maybe they’ve been plundering a Churu factory. The world may never know. 🤷‍♀️ #Cats

Color photograph of Tig, a brown tabby tuxedo cat sitting on a gray carpet against a light green wall. He’s sitting in an odd position with his front half sitting normal in his back half out to the side. His toe beans on one paw are ever so slightly stretched out.Color photograph of Brody, a brown tabby, tuxedo cat lying on a gray carpet in front of a white heating vent. He’s just rushed over to this vent and flopped himself down. This is how he landed. His eyes look like he’s feeling guilty about something.

Look who has an adoption hold! This sweet boy was a little stressed with so many additions to the foster room, so he went to the shelter to move forward on his journey. He was nervous to start, but someone saw him for the gem he is. Neuter later this week and then forever home! #FosterKitten

A sibling has arrived! She was trapped today and hasn’t seen her brother in several days now, so she’s in the playpen and he’s outside of it. She is curious and keeps coming out of hiding to say hello to him, though she’s still wary of me. #FosterKittens

If anyone is interested in still helping with my Box of Hope Campaign, I am still trying to get 12 more boxes by the end of this month to take to the Cancer Center. They are $45 plus tax, free shipping. Please message me if you want to help. 🩷

New kiddo has thoughts, but he seems to like his box and t-shirt cave. He’s been here about 24 hours now. He’s pick-up-able and doesn’t hiss or scratch. He does, however, voice his opinion. We’ll keep working on making sure he’s comfortable and continuing to develop his indoor skills. #FosterKitten

Reminder to self: stop getting in arguments on Facebook. It never goes well and I’m not going to change minds. It’s a cesspool of rage bait, but it’s where our shelter’s volunteer and foster groups are. It’s also where the few people I grew up with who I do wanna keep up with are. 🤦‍♀️

Ok, I’m back on potential foster watch. One of the lovely ladies in our trapping group is trying to catch 3 kittens at one of her sites and they’ll need to work on their indoor catting skills for a bit before getting adopted. I’m still set up for the last group that fell through. 🤞

New fosters incoming! This group is a new type for me. So far, I’ve only done underage fostering. These three are about 8-9 weeks old and already surgery weight, but we’re going to do some behavior bootcamp and unspice them a bit to give them a better chance at a happy home life in the future. 🐈‍⬛🐈🤞

Came home early yesterday, not feeling my best, so I decided to take it pretty easy today. I am very lucky to have a couple of relaxation coaches to help in my endeavor.
