Cadence (black) and Grumps! I am not allowed to touch them or get close to them, but Cadence *did* let me get a photo so that's a win. These two are BFFs. Grumps had some serious bladder upset recently, and was allowing touching, but now he's better he's all NO TOUCHY TOUCHY.

A grey cat and a black cat snuggled into each other on a chair. The grey cat is looking chill and relaxed, but Cadence is watching me, deeply suspicious of anything I might try.

I’m hesitant to share much about my quarantine holds bc their futures are so uncertain… but they deserve their story told. These 5 of 11+ housecats survived horrific neglect and are temporarily staying in my garage thanks to your kind donations. Please meet the quarantine gang: 1. The General

A skinny scruffy grey and white cat stands in a cage. He has a kitty cold so has visible mucus on his nose and a gunky right eye. He has a determined nobility about him. Photo owned by CatCareNetwork.org

Someone BAPPED Ginny overnight which was very mean, and now she has a scratched nose. My vote is Cadence because Cadence is still huffy about cats coming in and out. Silly girl.

A scaredy looking ginger cat sitting on top of clear plastic storage boxes. She has a new scratch on her nose.

Ginny RAN up to me for breakfast - with her little tail in the air and zero fear. She even ate breakfast with the regular crew, zero dramas! VERY proud. (Ernie still won't hang out with other cats)

Ginny is currently doing corner slinking and hiding from humans. We will get there and remind her we are BFFs again. In the meantime, let's NOT talk about the giant puddle of pee I cleaned up under my kids bed. (Concrete floor. Could have been worse.)

ANYWAY Ginny is a FREEDOM CAT this fine cold morning and she was very pleased to come out of the crate and explore. Tom was desperate to sniff her and was very polite - she was 0% bothered. Grumps hissed once and left the scene.

Ginny, a ginger cat, tail up, blurry and headed for the communal food bowls on the floor. Grumps, a grey cat is looking at her and about to hiss. Tom, a ticked tabby cat, intently trying to smell Ginny's (a ginger cats) butt. Her tail is up and she isn't bothered.

Saturday morning so of course I'm catching up on (horribly overdue) life admin. But hurray, Dad's house is now insured in his name, and the car insurance is cancelled. Still can't cancel the other house insurance because ✨no authority✨. This is what I get for telling the truth.

Look at this girl who didn't need sedation and didn't murder the vet! She's a bit grumpy I put her in the studio crate not the (bigger) living space crate, but that's because she will be allowed freedom shortly!

A ginger cat looking slightly miffed but not furious. She is poking her head towards the camera which has made her face look huge and her body look tiny. She has huge and excellent white whiskers.

Teeth are still very inflamed so she's going to start a new expensive medication and hope it helps. It probably does mean she's not adoptable until her course of meds is done. Which means I get to snuggle her longer.

Ginny has headed off for her vet appointment - she only ate half of her gabapentin but she is so friendly now I'm hoping it's not too stressful. She did try and throw herself out of the crate in order to love me more though.

A ginger cat rubbing herself on the bars of her crate while I reach through with my fingers to pat her. Her tail is up, and she's looking happy and good!

I am so so soul and bone tired. I'm not saying a litter of kittens would help, but ... However. This girl. This perfect best amazing girl, did little jumps and headbutts and wiggles at breakfast and while my mouth is full of fur, it was very delightful.

A ginger cat inside her crate full of fluffy beds. She is rubbing her head on her small grey emotional support dinosaur toy. She's pointed towards us, but her head is turned away looking up and to the right as she wiggles. Her tail is happily in the air, and her ears are happy.

Is there anything better than a previously feral bush cat who learns to love humans and snuggles? Ginny is letting me wrap my arms around her and bury my head in her fluff.

A soft and gorgeous ginger cat inside a crate. She has a little white splash under her chin. Her eyes are soft and relaxed, and her white whiskers are very impressive.
