Snark (And Occasionally Bourbon)

He/him. Writer of the fiction and TTRPG varieties. Silly goose prone to making dad jokes. Forever GM by choice. Book Dragon.

PSA from the guy with bourbon in his name: Alcohol consumption has been linked to multiple types of cancer. Peddling modern snake oil as a detox to help the body better recover from alcohol is some truly evil shit and anyone who does this deserves endless stubbed toes and failure in all they do.

TikTok is a great platform for seeing people live out ideas that should have, logistically, died shortly after inception. This post is inspired by the runner who did a 5K through the Taco Bell drive-through with the caveat he had to eat everything on the menu (one item per lap).

I don’t think most folks are buying smartphones expecting high-end camera quality. They’re expecting a device with reasonable cameras for casual or professional purposes on a device that also meets other needs. Comparing the two comes across as silly at best, or as ragebait in some cases.

It’s 2026. Gas and diesel prices are cruising towards the stratosphere. Groceries are both at an all-time high in pricing while also being a gamble with potential recalls. And so on. Anyone who suggests Jon Stewart should be a viable option for POTUS has either lost the plot or is a fucking moron.

Call it an educated guess, maybe, but I suspect the package that’s on its way with an estimated delivery of today but a current location of Arrived in Fort Worth isn’t making it to Pittsburgh by this evening. At least FedEx is on time, though they usually deliver the package via drop-kick.

Four years ago today was the last time I had with my Pappap before he died. This is me processing a small sliver of that enduring grief. I was so happy I was able to make time to see him. He had clearly held on to say goodbye, and to make sure my grandma was a ready as she could be.

Stories about lifelong Republicans becoming Democrats because of the direction MAGA has shifted their party isn’t something I celebrate. It’s part of why the Democratic Party continues to shift more right of center while actively shunning more progressive, Leftist politics. It’s a bad thing.
