The 50 garlic clove French style potato soup was solid and filling but I needed to add a lot of Southeast Asian style deep fried shallots and onion to make it interesting to me. Even pepper didn’t do much for it. Definitely needs more ingredients and condiments.

My parents have done the perfect downsizing sequence from ridiculously large 4 bedroom house in suburbia in the 1990s to cosy 2 bedroom unit in urban heartland in the 2020s. There was a bit of luck in that tho.
