Martin Ritt's THE LONG HOT SUMMER builds up such great character dynamics and really difficult conflict for 3/4ths of the movie and just completely flattens itself towards the end. Total deflation. Not surprised this never got the appreciation & legacy of CAT ON A HOT TIN ROOF

I have seen none of my mutuals even on twitter commenting on that new Avengers trailer even for like quote-tweet dunks or snarky comments. It may truly be over, we may yet see this scourge of a "multiverse" fade into irrelevance where even insulting it isn't worth our time.
