Real talk, I wonder if some of Scott Cawthon's bizzare writing choices like the nightmare chambers are a result of overcompensating for accidentally leading people into dream theory. Suddenly, Fnaf 4 goes from being designed as a dream to EVERYTHING happening in the game now being real.
Its really really funny how folks back in the day noticed that Majora's Mask's story beats lined up with the 5 stages of grief, and went "OH its because Link is secretly DEAD the WHOLE TIME" and not "Oh yeah, the game is about grief because Link just lost his best friend in the world forever."
