This morning’s Direct will determine how high in my priority list buying a bigger SD card for my Switch is. Currently, my 256GB one is completely full, so we’ll see

From a technical standpoint, the OoT remake is very impressive. The fact the Zelda team was able to get that level of fidelity running a 60 FPS near-consistently is a testament to their tech art prowess, nobody’s doing that like Nintendo, likely due to how weak their hardware has been in the past.

I can’t wait for it to be revealed in either Kingdom Hearts 6, or some cancelled-before-it-launched-in-the-US gatcha mobile game that the Master of Masters was Sora the entire time

I saw that Portal 2: Community Edition was open to the public for testing, so I played through to incinerator. It’s not bad! I’m less of a graphics snob than I thought I was, so the lighting changes aren’t groundbreaking for me, but the load time improvements are killer.

Two options here: Either I’m camping for a year with anthropomorphic, mostly chill animal people (if we count mobile games), or I’m spending a year in Japan while a bunch of cognitive mumbo-jumbo happens in the background. Not a bad set of choices tbh

Nice to know that nearly 13,000 people being in favor of making this optional wasn’t enough to change course. If I do return to streaming, I will be turning this “feature” off. Generative AI doesn’t vibe with me or my audience, plain and simple.

Twitch and Amazon are apparently planning to use streams to train Generative AI. Multiple sources tell me it will be announced in the coming months, despite some internal friction against it. Creators may be able to opt out of some training data.

I don’t want to be “engaged with” by a company. I prefer digital games, and even I see this as a terrible decision. Like I posted before, $1,000+ for a box that maybe plays your digital PS5 games a bit better at launch just isn’t compelling…

Heard there was a Raiders demo, but it’s kiosk-only? Hate that. I understand it for Switch 1 games to avoid datamining, but no exploit has been made public for Switch 2 yet, so that concern doesn’t really apply. If you have a demo, why not put it on the eShop?

No physical PS6 media is certainly a choice™️ On that note, why are we moving forward with the PS6 in the first place? There’s still PS4 games coming out, the 5 doesn’t feel that old yet and tech isn’t advancing as fast as it used to…

Really looking forward to Raiders after that Direct. It *might* even be the game that brings me back to streaming…

Watching @mrnebula27.bsky.social play Portal for the first time, and it’s fascinating watching the learning process. As someone who speedran the game, I will never get tired of watching people’s first Portal playthroughs. What a fantastic video game.

Why would you put up preorders for a game and not make the file size public, especially if your “physical” edition at launch is a code in a box? Feels kinda shady ngl

I am cautiously optimistic about this. There’s a number of pitfalls that could ruin this effort, but I want to have faith in the project. Maybe I should get that idea I’ve had bouncing around in my head off the ground…

‘Code Lyoko’ is officially returning with a brand-new sequel series currently in production, set to serve as Season 5. The project is currently in the writing stage, with the original creators and voice cast expected to return nearly 19 years after the show’s last season aired.

Genuinely curious why this took so long. The Switch 1 port was already released, and I thought the whole point of Bedrock was to make Minecraft much easier and quicker to port…

I’ve noticed that I type much faster on an actual keyboard than on my phone keyboard. It’s almost certainly the tactile feedback of the physical keys, but I wonder if there’s a way I can improve my screen-typing speed…

Why do printers still suck to use? Tried to scan a document, the built-in Windows Fax and Scan program which hasn’t been updated since Vista couldn’t see the printer. Re-added the printer, no difference. Tried HP’s app, and got stopped by the account screen.
