Almost forgot I have two concerts next month that I've lined up to see
X-Men: The Last Stand: Definitely a more action-oriented film. Inclusion of Jean-Grey's alter ego, the Phoenix, seemed interesting, but otherwise, a lot of the nuance in the character writing and politics of the X-Men world feel diminished compared to the first two films.
X2: X-Men United: Great follow-up to the first film with an engaging conflict between Striker and the X-Men. A very well written film with some nice action and character moments.
Max Payne 3: Tonally, it's got a very different vibe, being a modern crime drama instead of classic campy neo noir. But the spirit of the original gameplay is still here and more action packed than ever. It's a pretty good looking game for its time as well. Still really good.
Happy birthday to Sam & Max Season One! 20 years old!!!! ....what. WHAT.
