Does anybody have an idea what kind of token speed can you get with Qwen3.8 27b on a Mac Mini M4 pro? I'm assuming the Q8 version would fit into the 48GB model. I've tried the I1 version on my AMD laptop, it's running at 2t/s and the gpu is literally melting in the process...

Duo is a good name. I'm still surprised they went for it, I'm guessing people still remember the Surface Duo. But this thing really doesn't feel like an iPhone anymore. They should have come up with a different name.

Very cool article by @wired.com The engineering is insane. I've been using foldables since zFold 3 and while the thinness and lightness of 7 and #zfold8 is impressive, I think there is a better tradeoff on the table. Make the device thicker and the cameras worse to get a device that lies flat.

I'm not entirely clear on how better logic layer improves dynamic range and temperature tolerance. Dynamic range has always been a property of the pixel and lateral overflow solves this pretty well without fancy logic. Temperature tolerance is largely capped by DCR and hence process. Maybe that 1/
