I've largely avoided the AI debate because there are so many parts to the conversation, but I'm getting annoyed enough that I might need to rant. And it may not be the rant you expect.
If I can watch anything on Netflix. I'll probably choose a doco. 14 Peaks was an amazing reveal into battling the elements to achieve a goal. It's been confirmed that Nimsdai & the rest of his climbing party perished in the Broad Peak avalanche this week. He had a deep respect for the mountain. RIP.
Nobody tells you how hard it is to go from 100F to 66F in the same week.
I try and keep Friday afternoons for low stress work. Today I woke up with an idea for something I want to build, to help with future demos. A couple of meetings first then I'll see how far I get.
The best part about returning from 5 weeks annual leave is having the boldness to look at the email participants and hit send anyway. :)

Been home 4 days and post-Europe jet lag is kicking my butt. Falling asleep at 7pm. Wide awake at 2am. Slept through my alarm at 6:20am. Huh. OK body, we've got melatonin and sunshine, get with the program already.

Chat, my flight changed from "one hour delay" to "boarding" within minutes, and I hadn't checked if my gate even existed yet OMG I was so stressed.
It's very strange to me to be in a time when Europe and the USA are both online. It's even stranger that I'm not active in work chats because I'm on holiday.
Finished our last day in Paris with a charcuterie board in the Luxembourg Gardens. Would only have been more perfect with a glass of wine and more time.
Really cool being in Paris when France is playing a quarter final. The streets are erupting with every goal and the game isn't finished yet. And then we'll be in London for the England game. All planned eight months ago!
Glad my high school French has come in handy for reassuring my husband that the onboard train announcements are nothing to worry about. Also someone has handed in a lost phone.
So far my high school French has convinced everyone I've said hello to that I do speak French, so I immediately have to apologise and explain I need English.
