I am looking for a blog post that was shared here some time ago. It was by a mathematician who wrote to a canned food company, notifying them that their cans didn't minimize surface area given their volume. The company responded with reasons. Does anyone remember this? Does anyone have a link?

Also, I should mention how nicely theory and practice come together here. The practical application very much needed the theoretical space lower bound that Stefan Walzer and Stefan Hermann proved, so that we can target 1.5x that as a default space usage, rather than just guessing.
