one important thing is that i think toby’s games being so ‘amateurish’ makes them MUCH more ‘attainable’ goals for young artists and developers to strive for and get inspiration from. “I want to make a game like Breath of the Wild” is lofty, unrealistic, and a bit naive (but not IMPOSSIBLE)

it's still unbelievable to me that chrono trigger was mitsuda's first work as a composer... like most composers decades into their careers couldn't pull something like World Revolution out of their ass but this guy did it year one
