All the smart lads loved it and then, it turned out those voters just *do not exist*.
my head cannon for this bit is that the Joker knows if he fucks around in Gotham they're either gonna lock in Arkham or in an easily escapable state prison but he's not getting sent to federal prison where the Real Ones will not put up with him.

Hmm, today's essay is an interesting one. It's an excerpt from a book by William Zinsser, which argues that too much writing is cluttered and unclear, that this is the result of unclear thinking, and that the solution is to use simple words and simple sentence construction in your writing.

Yeah, math is derived from formal logic, which means pure math is actually a form of pure rhetoric, and mathematical proofs are literally just demonstrating that the logic of a particular statement is true. Math as taught it in school is basically memorizing statements without understanding them.

I remember reading about how mormon teenagers have a game where they all compete to get the best result from a series of trades, each of which has to be for something 'bigger or better', starting with a toothpick and ending with whatever they've got at the end of like, a few hours of door-to-door.

"Could you get through a workday without ChatGPT, Claude, or any other (LLM) tool?" Yes? My 'workday' features reading and writing, and I use LLMs for literally none of it. Using LLMs for research would be counterproductive because I wouldn't know the material if I didn't read it.
