A few minutes ago, when the alien navigator was at the science station, I was afraid that Sulu was in the episode, but that George Takei had no speaking port. But never mind.🤭 The other actors, besides Shatner and Nimoy all got paid for all the animated episodes, correct? #TOSSatNight
Hey, that helm officer on the other Federation ship looks like Nurse Chapel and sounds like Majel Barrett! 😊 #TOSSatNight
If there’s one good thing about watching the original Star Trek series in Stardate order, it’s that the series goes out with a bang with All Our Yesterdays, and not with a whimper with Turnabout Intruder.
The results of the vote are in. Production Order wins in a landslide. Looking forward to starting all over again with The Cage in seven weeks. Thanks to everyone for voting! 🖖 #TOSSatNight
Droxine has the beginnings of a character arc when she questions her father on how things operate on Stratos. #TOSSatNight
Of the last several episodes of the third season (in Stardate order), it seems like there are about half really solid episodes and half pretty bad episodes. This is definitely one of the really solid episodes. #TOSSatNight
Is the ship’s first office (Spock) more expendable than the ship’s medical officer (McCoy)? That’s certainly debatable. They have other doctors on board. #TOSSatNight
Why does this scene with the mask remind me of the early days of Zoom meetings during the pandemic? #TOSSatNight
Apparently after Shatner had a little knife accident on Whom Gods Destroy with Yvonne Craig, they made sure he did NOT get cut by a knife in the bedroom scene in this episode with Vanna (Charlene Polite), such that the knife struggle is a little unconvincing. #TOSSatNight
They also suggested on the Enterprise Incidents podcast that the flirting between Spock and Droxine was a way for the 1960s female Star Trek audience who saw Spock as a sex symbol to engage in a vicarious crush on him. #TOSSatNight
It was interesting listening to the Enterprise Incidents podcast of this episode, where they talked about how The Cloud Minders is an allegory not only about class, but about race (a separated group of people thought incapable of higher thought and suited for labor) in 1960s society. #TOSSatNight
Those rope lassos remind me of the 1970s Wonder Woman tv show. 😅 #TOSSatNight
Cute pig custard dumplings seen in Little Saigon, Westminster CA.
For people who currently have a Knott’s prestige pass, do the 2027 changes to the passes make you reconsider keeping the prestige level pass? No more Preferred parking lot or weekday preferred gate entry. Or do the included parking, single FastLane, and VIP lounge still make it worthwhile?
While I was waiting for the noon Miss Cameo Kate show to start at Knott’s Birdcage Theatre, I was anxious about the possibly growing line for the promised reopening of MonteZOOMa today. But the Cameo Kate is so good. I suppose my tastes have changed and I’d rather spend the afternoon watching this.
Merchandise for the reimagined MonteZOOMa: The Forbidden Fortress, which officially opened today at Knott’s Berry Farm.
My review of MonteZOOMa: The Forbidden Fortress: It’s essentially the same ride as the old Montezooma’s Revenge, but with some light theming in the queue. There’s some Disney/Universal style ride audio, but you can’t hear it well except from the front of the train. 1/2
The reimagined MonteZOOMa The Forbidden Fortress reopened earlier today at Knott’s Berry Farm. Walls were removed and there are articles in the OC Register and posts on Knott’s social media that the ride re-opens today.
The line wasn’t too bad when I got off, so I got back in line for a second ride.

Lined up at Knott’s waiting for the security line to open.
After seeing on MLB Network that Zach Neto would be traded to the Boston Red Sox, it looks like neither he nor Reid Detmers will be traded. But the Angels did ship off their starting catcher (O’ Hoppe), their best SP (Soriano), two relievers (Silseth and Zeferzahn), and starting outfielder Jo Adell
this is not true. there was no conspiracy. it didn't matter whether the streetcars were publicly owned (seattle, detroit) or private (los angeles, atlanta). a thread (because i wrote a whole-ass book on this): 1/?
Is everyone aware of the General Motors streetcar conspiracy? In the mid-20th century, auto and oil interests bought up electric streetcar systems across the US and systematically replaced them with bus routes and paved roads, funneling commuters toward private cars.
In honor of WPBL opening weekend, a card for the women behind the team names: Lillie Hitchcock Coit (SF Firebells), Dorothy Height (NY Heights), Lizzie Murphy (LA Queens), and Harriot Hunt (Boston Hunters)
As much as people dismiss this Trek episode, when the Enterprise Incidents podcast covered it, they had a guest star who was a president of the Star Trek fan club and a little person who talked about how important this episode was for him growing up being bullied everyday. #TOSSatNight
They did my Brewers dirty on SpongeBob night with the team lineups.
It’s SpongeBob SquarePants night at Anaheim Stadium vs my Milwaukee Brewers!
I really enjoyed the This Land Is… exhibit for America’s 250th anniversary at The Huntington. Documents and drafts from Woody Guthrie, Octavia Butler, Langston Hughes, letters written by Jefferson and G. Washington. Focusing on the conflicts and injustices of US history.
Lotus flowers at the Huntington Library & Gardens.
Someone I know received this email from Knott’s regarding pricing for 2027 passes. I don’t think next year’s passes are for sale yet, nor has there been an announcement from Knott’s. Does this notice sound legitimate?
I found out earlier this evening that Rick Storey from Knott’s Krazy Kirk and the Hillbillies (“Whistling Rick”) and Bluegrass Duo at the Fireman’s Brigade has passed away.
