Of the last several episodes of the third season (in Stardate order), it seems like there are about half really solid episodes and half pretty bad episodes. This is definitely one of the really solid episodes. #TOSSatNight

Apparently after Shatner had a little knife accident on Whom Gods Destroy with Yvonne Craig, they made sure he did NOT get cut by a knife in the bedroom scene in this episode with Vanna (Charlene Polite), such that the knife struggle is a little unconvincing. #TOSSatNight

They also suggested on the Enterprise Incidents podcast that the flirting between Spock and Droxine was a way for the 1960s female Star Trek audience who saw Spock as a sex symbol to engage in a vicarious crush on him. #TOSSatNight

It was interesting listening to the Enterprise Incidents podcast of this episode, where they talked about how The Cloud Minders is an allegory not only about class, but about race (a separated group of people thought incapable of higher thought and suited for labor) in 1960s society. #TOSSatNight

For people who currently have a Knott’s prestige pass, do the 2027 changes to the passes make you reconsider keeping the prestige level pass? No more Preferred parking lot or weekday preferred gate entry. Or do the included parking, single FastLane, and VIP lounge still make it worthwhile?

While I was waiting for the noon Miss Cameo Kate show to start at Knott’s Birdcage Theatre, I was anxious about the possibly growing line for the promised reopening of MonteZOOMa today. But the Cameo Kate is so good. I suppose my tastes have changed and I’d rather spend the afternoon watching this.

My review of MonteZOOMa: The Forbidden Fortress: It’s essentially the same ride as the old Montezooma’s Revenge, but with some light theming in the queue. There’s some Disney/Universal style ride audio, but you can’t hear it well except from the front of the train. 1/2

The reimagined MonteZOOMa The Forbidden Fortress reopened earlier today at Knott’s Berry Farm. Walls were removed and there are articles in the OC Register and posts on Knott’s social media that the ride re-opens today.

The line wasn’t too bad when I got off, so I got back in line for a second ride.

Someone I know received this email from Knott’s regarding pricing for 2027 passes. I don’t think next year’s passes are for sale yet, nor has there been an announcement from Knott’s. Does this notice sound legitimate?

I found out earlier this evening that Rick Storey from Knott’s Krazy Kirk and the Hillbillies (“Whistling Rick”) and Bluegrass Duo at the Fireman’s Brigade has passed away.
