Can’t imagine Nintendo won’t go the same way eventually but for now, PC + Nintendo will give you the most buying power as a consumer. If digital only is the future, you will want a platform with multiple store fronts for options.

Jason breaks down the math on PlayStation going digital (and why Xbox is also extremely likely to as well). In a potential world of $1k+ consoles which could result in a reduction of the installed bases on new consoles (if they can even get made), the console mfgs will prioritize profitability.

Anyways, you can love your preferred video game ecosystem, franchise or whatever all you want. You can think your years of customer loyalty should/will be reciprocated. But these businesses don't love you back. Same with your job, fwiw. You're a number on a spreadsheet.
