You Mean It's Thursday?

Posting every Thursday for everyone in disbelief that it is Thursday

I know there are a lot of economic and financial reasons why Transformers are packaged in bot mode now instead of alt mode but has anyone considered that it’s because getting the bot into alt mode is easily the hardest part (relatively speaking) and the part that most warrants instructions?

Last but most, POTP Outback. What’s that? New Outback and Swerve? Fuck outta here. Very reminiscent of POTP Beachcomber, which is a very good thing, he’s fun to handle, the transformation hits, and the hummer’s very nice and rolls well. Would double dip for Brawn.

More positively, holy shit it’s Swerve. I dunno if I made it clear in my IDW threads but Swerve was one of my favorites from MTMTE, so it’s nice to have one based on that design. Fun little bot that comes with a targetmaster pal who’s pretty involved for a sidepiece to the line’s smallest class

Hey look it’s Slash, he’s not in that movie I haven’t watched. Holy kibble, he might be more kibble than robot in bot mode, which doesn’t make him fun to handle (special shout out to the stupid knee spikes), and all the rubber parts don’t really help with hand feel.

Slash in robot mode. I opted for the TLK repaint because I think the toned down metallic blue and grey do it more favors than the AOE color scheme. He’s probably the only Transformer I can think of who duel wields axes.

This design really appealed to me so when I got a chance to pick it up for cheap I took it. It’s crazy how this thing arguably prefigured “the articulation is the gimmick” cuz for 2007 this guy can MOVE, rivaling toys from Legacy. I think this is also the first Transformer with a blast effect?
