men tend to do this thing where we think we can and should have access to everything because of who we are in the world and accept them as such regardless of orientation.
in my experience, gay men also will try to guilt you into an interaction because of rejection. they blame it on societal things like skin color, weight, etc. never really thinking that’s none of those things???
but if you’re in a space where you find yourself fighting to be included in this desirable group or desired by a specific group people, you’ll be fighting forever.
people dont deal with rejection very well so they look for other reasons to explain away something that’s rooted in their own…well a means to protect their ego.
people make dating to be an all inclusive thing but it’s not. and i want people to reframe (especially gay men) their ideas on desirability because dating is inheritable exclusionary and prejudice. and why wouldn’t someone be cautious and judicious as to who they want to share instance with?
