One of the problems with trades with teams like Columbus is that I know next to nothing about them. Comments suggest KM's quite good. Better than Knies? Worth losing Lorentz and Andrae? Lorentz was waived and Andrae is apparently a dime a dozen D-man, but we've had problems getting even those D-men.

Tried the My 9 Games thing. Rather difficult to narrow it down to 9, but by the time I got to this set, I was happy that each game listed is one I would be happy to pick up and play again at any point. Good breadth of time, too. Ranging from 1984 on the C64, to 2017 on the Switch. my9games.net
Well, at least there won't be any Blue Jays excitement to interfere with my mixed bag of pessimism and hope about the Leafs' season that's about to start.

A big deal was made of the bevelled logo on the Habs' ice, but when the ice is carved up, all the detail gets lost in the snow and it just looks... Smudgy. The Leafs' centennial logo is pretty good, though. Never especially fond of it on sweaters, but it works on the ice.
Since Carol Kane joined #StarTrekSNW, I've been waiting for her character to say something like "Have fun storming the castle". Referencing a chef named Max and calling him a miracle worker is a good alternative.
The Jays now need to win 7 of their last 8 games to have a slim chance of getting that wild card. That's assuming CWS/CLE/TEX only go .500.
Going through with this "Associate Membership" with the EU is an absolute must, now. If for no better reason than to have Carney sign the historic partnership, hold up the document for everyone to see, and proclaim: "The Art of the Deal"
I don't know what an "Associate Member" of the EU actually means, but I know it's a clear signal of closer ties to Europe and further distancing from the US, so it sounds like a good thing to me.
Uuuuuuuggggghhhhh. Playoff chances can disappear quickly.

Headlines like this are infuriating. So some random schmuck comes up with a hair-brained idea for a trade that no GM would consider, and you're pinging me with this as if it's news-worthy? Stop. I can come up with trade ideas that will never see the light of day, too. Ping me with actual news.
That was an important win for the Jays. Now half a game back, a game away from .500. Still in the thick of it, but they will need to win at least every 2 out of 3 the rest of the way to stay there.
And yet Ford is tearing out Toronto's bike lanes...
