An accurate depiction of me as I work on this post. I feel stuck in a vicious cycle. My blog, and sharing my projects through it, has always been my biggest motivator. But ever since I lost motivation with my blog, over months --now, sadly, almost years-- a direct result is that I lose interest in all of my projects, flitting fitfully from one to another, feeling overwhelmed by things that ought to be fun, as well as by my relentless overconsumption, never finishing anything.

This weekend marked our first two-night visit (Friday through Sunday) to my mom-in-law’s place since we adopted Domino back in May. I really missed spending that much time over there. We went to thrift stores, estate sales, played cards and the WiiU Wario Pictionary type game. My mom-in-law made one of my favorite things ever for dinner, creamed chipped beef on mashed potatoes, and her roommate who is like family made me my favorite coffee cookies.

Well damn. I took the 20mg Vyvanse today (half the dose that had affected me so badly) because the lack of focus and food noise was too awful, and holy shit, within 2-3 hours my mood flatlined completely. Not good, not bad, just… flat.
You guys don't know how close I came to slipping into a rave at the MP night market. Me of all people, and alone! I've never felt quite this way on the trip back from a con. I'm tearing up, I feel true post-con sadness for the first time, mixed with euphoria, and the wondering of where has this "me" been... It's been years. It's not just happiness, it's really complicated, I will talk more about it later.
Waiting for the train. All thanks to Blankit for one of the happiest weekends of my life in many years. I wouldn't have come without her coaxing, and it's brought a lot of the old me back —and a new me, too. I'm so grateful. Much more coming later.
