My new Silo opinion is that crammed together like that for so long, they would mostly have been wiped out by a virus already despite their excellent cardio health from walking all those stairs.
Just started watching Silo and my first impression is that's too many stairs.

I regularly pair this story with another by Bradbury called “The Murderer” when I teach Readings in Fiction.

Finished rereading book two (The Great American Betrayal, 2022) of my trilogy last night. Good thing I did, because it clarified a crucial plot detail for my current work-in-progress, book three. Writing a detective story (sort of) requires me to be a detective looking for clues in earlier books.

Nothing is more like "Harrison Bergeron" than RFK Jr. being in charge of health and human services.
Video just now of a hummingbird moth outside kitchen window (also appearances by a butterfly and a moth). Plus the noise from a plane or helicopter flying overhead and some kind of screeching. Maybe kids are at the neighbor’s pool.
Not reading The Hobbit because I don’t want it to ruin the authentic experience of seeing the film trilogy first.

(Horrible/hilarious story: Someone in Wicked told me that after the 1st film opened, they got huge enthusiastic audiences--and then big walkouts at intermission bc people didn't want the next movie spoiled.)>
