It's very simple. If you are an elected official who signed an NDA with a corporate entity, you must resign. You have failed in your duty to your constituents.

A friend in Europe told me that the family had to take turn walking the dog each day because only one of them was allowed outside at one point. That was a lockdown.

Having to pick up your Applebees and eat it on the sectional does not count. There wasn't even a brief moment where "everything" was closed. That's not real.
Authors shushing other authors (or translators) for being insufficiently grateful for any attention whatsoever is .... Sickening. Don't you have some writing of your own to do?

When I am researching for a play or a book I am writing, I tend to buy original copies of things I am using if I can. Signed copies especially. I feel these books must be saved. They are so close to the heart of my creative enterprise.

My first visit to Gettysburg was in 1976. I was in 5th grade. Came down from the summit and bought a cheap felt Union cap amidst what seemed like a sea of gray caps. Even back then.
