Well I avoided sewing all these so might as well sign up for more meticulous pain by painting every feather! I tried an alcohol marker first but the sheen looked corny so using an AK Playmarker gave a nice matte opacity 👍 Time to zone out and finish these ...

The shaman of Bad Dürrenberg are the remains of a 25-35 year old woman, who was buried 8600 to 9000 year ago in Germany. Around her, were the remains of an extraordinary head-dress, made from the bones and teeth of different animals such as deer, wild boar, crane and turtle.

The Shaman of Bad Dürrenberg is a 9,000-year-old archaeological discovery of a 25-35 year old woman buried in Germany with an extraordinary animal-bone headdress.Headdress Materials: The ritual garment included bones and teeth from various animals, including deer, wild boar, crane, and turtle.Archaeological Status: As one of the oldest burials in Central Germany, her grave goods—including painting implements and clay—indicate she held a special social status, likely as a shaman.Reconstruction: The image on the right is a modern reconstruction based on the remains found on the left.

Analaysis of her veterbrae show that she had a neurological disability that also caused nystagmus and most likely this was part of the reason why she had a shaman status.

I didn’t think I’d be wading through sewer water at 5am to grab my car keys but here we are. Everything is gone. It’s a total loss. @shrugsyolo.bsky.social lost a lot of her fursuit supplies. I lost most of what I brought up to Canada. We are buying a house soon but loosing our space sucks.
