alkright that's enough vote stuff. hope whoever loses is gracious and supports their opponent full throatedly in the general. but a good reminder polls can and do miss badly sometimes, especially in primary elections.

my hot take is pre-registering takes about what a win would mean in any election is probably not the best idea because voters are fickle

CTE fell off a cliff in the 80s and 90s as schools put more focus on college readiness. So I’d say that no, this wasn’t really the case for like thirty years. CTE is, however, becoming a thing again because the market now needs those jobs.

So this actually does also start to explain some vibecession stuff to me too. Average household usage is about 10.5k/kwh a year. Thats an increase of about $700~ a year from what was a relatively stable item.

A funny thing if you look at that chart is that electricity (the bottom line) looks pretty stable relative to other things, but when you drill down it’s increased from .13/kwh to .20/kwh in like 6 years. In 2008 it was .13/kwh
