Buddy, we had to drive an hour on the interstate to get to mall.
tell me about your town’s weird mall
alkright that's enough vote stuff. hope whoever loses is gracious and supports their opponent full throatedly in the general. but a good reminder polls can and do miss badly sometimes, especially in primary elections.
my hot take is pre-registering takes about what a win would mean in any election is probably not the best idea because voters are fickle
i support [$democratic_candidate] for [$public_office] and believe that their politics is a perfect fit for [$state]. I would drag my [$genital] over [$harmful_object_or_substance] to vote for [$democratic_candidate] this fall.
I support the winner of the Michigan Democratic primary as the future senator from Michigan.
on the actual content here, air travel has mostly gotten better because it's so much more accessible to average people. "oh but there's no full service meals anymore" yeah wonder fucking why
Food, man. Food is so much better than it was in 1986. All of it. Poor-people food, restaurant food, fresh food, frozen food. Food is just a hell of a lot better.
both of these generals, whatever their numerous personal laws, would think trump was a whiny little bitchboy
This is a man who has a hard time looking in the mirror
i am guessing peoiple will wait to see actual wayne county results before calling it but only winning oakland by 1.8% is probably not a good sign for haley
Man I am pissed. It really stinks to have apparently done an amazing job on something but get shafted anyway
CTE fell off a cliff in the 80s and 90s as schools put more focus on college readiness. So I’d say that no, this wasn’t really the case for like thirty years. CTE is, however, becoming a thing again because the market now needs those jobs.
In a college sociology class in the late 1980s I was assigned a Marxist analysis of education that argued that the US education system is designed primarily to produce efficient workers for the labor market. And now Trump’s Department of Education is just tweeting it out.
What Cities Skylines player hasn’t done this I ask
Scoop: Trump has ordered workers to redo weeks of work on his planned White House helipad new WaPo photos show how past work was removed over weekend Trump is contemplating changes to White House lawn's slope, raising bigger Qs about project and cost
So this actually does also start to explain some vibecession stuff to me too. Average household usage is about 10.5k/kwh a year. Thats an increase of about $700~ a year from what was a relatively stable item.
A funny thing if you look at that chart is that electricity (the bottom line) looks pretty stable relative to other things, but when you drill down it’s increased from .13/kwh to .20/kwh in like 6 years. In 2008 it was .13/kwh
Victimless crime imo
in insane local news, the 26 year old director of a rocky horror production was arrested for sending threatening messages to himself in order to get the play shut down bc he didn’t want to deal with cast drama www.mynbc5.com/article/rock...
Anyway my new work laptop is a hoss
It’s totally swell that the only way this is going to go to away is for the next Dem president to give Iran a reach around, which our dumb fuck media will not clock it as cleaning up Donald’s mess
Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) carried out an attack on a US base in Kuwait using three drones, according to a source familiar with the matter.-i24 News

One reason I’m not terribly worried about the Michigan race is this is a very easy slam dunk for Public Health expert El-Sayed to make the general election about. And if he can’t hit that? Well that’s on him.

They are the first reported deaths linked to a massive outbreak of the intestinal illness that began in May.
I always find this dynamic interesting because a lot of people I know will absolutely apply negative stereotypes to *people who they don’t agree with* but not necessarily people a standard deviation in their own direction
there is a strain of lefty discourse where you can’t come to any unflattering conclusions about the populace—those must be explained away by how they are being acted upon by capital—but I think you’ll understand things better if you understand capital can also exploit weaknesses it didn’t create

Fast fashion didn’t nearly kill American fashion retail because people thought Forever 21 and Gap were equivalent quality, or they couldn’t be sure how big the difference was. That happened because people wanted to buy more clothes for less money and wear them fewer times and then get more new stuff
The HBO @ 50 video starting with more like they were going to announce HBO was dead lol
Okay I’m gonna log out before I tell people I generally like to shut the fuck up
For the record: NOPE. Honestly, I don’t think there’s an issue today I care about on a personal level more deeply than trans rights. And it’s rough out there right now. Bigots on one side of the political aisle and too many cowards on the other. ⬇️
I maintain that if it weren’t for SRS, Kemi would be a huge laugher
This area used to re-elect the head of the 1922 committee to be their MP.
Might have blown the guys mind at Bass Pro by flipping on the accent and telling him my husband isn’t ready for me to buy a boat
