This sucks ass. When I start my car I want to be able to put my foot on the pedal and drive off. I dont want to watch an ad. A distracting ad. Right in the middle of my console. Again. This sucks ass.

The follow up visit today was good, lots of scar tissue had pulled almost most of the retina away. Dr. Was able to clean all that up and reattach the retina, already recovered some vision. Can see some lights and some movement, but no details, should return over time. Thanks for all the good wishes

You can’t hear a bicycle coming at you and at 25 mph, there is enough force there to kill you. Both vehicles and bikes are hazardous to pedestrians. I support bikes but they need to operate within traffic laws as everyone else has to.

E bike speed regulations are less about making riding ebikes safer and more about makeing drivers feel better when they hit and kill a kid who was "speeding" or riding "recklessly"!..

I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to experience a visual disability, get an eye patch and then walk around for a bit and try visiting a big box store like a Costco. It's quite the experience.

My second eye surgery was 23 days ago and my eye still looks like a bloody mess. My 3rd surgery is Monday WARNING the picture could be considered gross.

I'm still thinking about how no one got injured or killed when the driver slammed into the stone bench & into my building earlier this month. I sat on that bench, so did neighbors. A neighbor regularly sits in a law chair by where the stone bench ended up. We got so lucky.

Cars are why we can't have nice things! Today a driver crashed into the corner where I live slamming into the light pole, trash can and our stone bench where we sit. The left photo is the damage, the right is pre-damage. Look how far that stone bench is pushed back. The driver just drove away!

Another reason to love my bicycle. Zero electronics to recharge, or deal with spying on me, just unconnected bliss!

Companies are all in on selling folks the idea that it’s in your best interest for your products to “know you” as if you are getting a dedicated servant but what you are really getting is a spy.

The barriers are doing their job both in protecting the bike lanes but in also protecting the drivers who aren't paying attention to where they are driving. This isn't a problem, it's a feature. For drivers it's better to ride up the barrier than it is to slam into the barrier causing injury.

E bikes are now speed limited to 20 mph in bike lanes even though the bike lanes are speed governed by the speed of the road they are on. So I can go faster than 20 on my pedal bike but not my E-bike! It's such a fucking moral panic! One that we all know will negatively effect minorities most!

The city passed legislation that limits speeds for electronic mobility devices and creates an age limit for some higher speed vehicles. Advocates helped create the ordinance, but worry about some changes the city council made to the rules.

I don't always agree w/ one of my city council members, but man does he walk the walk (rides bike & transit) when it comes to transit. One great thing about this is that when I see him on transit, walking or bike, we can talk about issues of importance, or just catch up. Can't do that if he drives!

Thinking about this as our city further regulates e-bikes & puts more restrictions on minors riding e-bikes than they do on minors driving 5,000lb cars with 300+HP. It's just another Moral Panic similar to Skateboards, Walkmans, Satanic Panic, etc etc etc that directly & negatively effect minors

@mayorq.bsky.social removing our bike lanes would set KC back years. I am now 100% blind in my right eye & I rely upon the Gillham Cycle Track as my one safe north south route. There are so few routes that are multiple miles long & protected. Let's not go back, let's continue to progress forward
