This Wednesday, Hoveton takes centre stage 💚 I'll be spending the day celebrating one of North Norfolk's brilliant communities - meeting businesses, talking to residents, & shining a light on everything that makes Hoveton special ✨️ Every village & town here has a story worth telling.

Our medieval churches are part of what makes North Norfolk special. You can build a new church without paying VAT, yet when money is raised to repair historic ones 20% can disappear in VAT before work begins. That feels wrong. I'll be raising this issue in Westminster.
The asylum system is broken. The backlog didn't appear out of nowhere. It's the result of years of failure to properly resource the Home Office. The answer isn't another gimmick. Fund the Home Office. Clear the backlog. Process claims.
From Thatcher to Blair & beyond, @carolineslocock.bsky.social spent 4 decades in & around government Join Caroline, @steffanaquarone.bsky.social & Vicky Pryce for an interactive webinar - how can #Whitehall work better? 📅 Tues 6 Oct 6PM 📍Register www.radixbigtent.org.uk/events/whats... #FreeWebinar
Raiding pensions to fund social care isn't the answer! Our social care system needs fixing, but the Government can't tell older people that the price of getting dignified care in old age is a weaker guarantee on their pensions.
☕️💚 A cup of coffee. A huge difference. Macmillan ☕️ Mornings raise vital funds to support people living with cancer. Huge thank you to everyone across North Norfolk getting involved & making a difference.
Rejoining the EU isn't on the table. That doesn't mean accepting unnecessary barriers with our closest neighbours. Instead of reigniting the battles of 2016, let's build towards a relationship that supports growth and makes life easier for North Norfolk's families & businesses.
🌊 We're an island nation, yet still don't have a dedicated Minister responsible for coastal communities. That isn't good enough! I'll keep pushing until people living along our precious coastline get a voice at the top table of Govt. If you live by the sea & agree, share this.
Whether you live or run a business in a village or market town, access to banking and cash close to home is vital 💷 It was great to meet up with LINK at #ldconf today to keep pushing for that access all across North Norfolk.
You bump into the very best people at conference!
Two weeks back in Westminster - here's what I've been fighting for... Before Parliament returned, I asked what you wanted me to fight for over the next six months. What should I take on next❓️ Tell me in the comments...,
Touring isn't the job. Policing is. Norfolk elected a Police & Crime Commissioner to tackle crime - not go off on tour! 🤯 If Mr Sutton is taking time away from the job, he should give back his £70k salary. We can put that money to better use.
Hugely disappointed that the Assisted Dying Bill was defeated yesterday. Once again, I voted for it because I believe people facing the end of their lives deserve dignity, choice and compassion.
I was so pleased to welcome pupils from Blakeney & Kelling schools to Parliament today. We talked about the environment, healthcare & what inspires me to do this job. Thanks for making the journey 🙏
Here in Norfolk, we know what the RNLI & other lifeboat crews stand for: courage, professionalism & humanity. We're proud & grateful for them ❤️ To every RNLI volunteer & lifeboat crew: thank you.
You 𝙘𝙖𝙣'𝙩 legislate to growth. But you can stop getting in its way. That's what small businesses in rural North Norfolk need from this Government.
It's Back British Farming Day 🇬🇧 Farmers contribute to North Norfolk's communities, our economy, & the countryside we're lucky to call home. But things are difficult: from extreme weather & water shortages to rising costs & uncertainty. I'll keep standing up for Norfolk's farmers 🚜
Thanks to the Government, North Norfolk had to spend £600,000 on Local Government Reorganisation... ...and now they've changed their mind. So, Secretary of State: where's our £600,000⁉️
Today is International Day of Charity & yesterday at Sheringham Day Services I was reminded just how much small acts of kindness can mean ❤️ They’re looking for volunteer drivers to help deliver meals to people in the community. Please share this post to help spread the word.🙏
Face-to-face banking still matters. In rural communities, it really matters.
Back in Norfolk after a busy return to Westminster this week ❤️ I challenged the Govt's prisoner release plans & welcomed its U-turn over the killer of my constituent, Fenella Hawes. I also pressed ministers on the need for face-to-face banking, & learned about support for bakeries in Ukraine 🇺🇦
It’s election week! At this important moment I would like to address your entire planet with a message to the people of Earth. And I think I found the perfect place to do it.
I grew up in North Norfolk. I know just how challenging living rurally can be when you're under 25. That's why I want to hear from young people. Tell me exactly what you'd change & how I can help make your life that little bit easier. bit.ly/NNYoungPeopl...
Happy Sunday, folks. More summer tour stops this week. Can't wait ❤️
🚨 BREAKING NEWS 🚨 A politician is asking young people what they think... ...and plans to listen. Weird, I know. bit.ly/NNYoungPeopl... 🗣 Help me spread the word.
Last week I attempted the political equivalent of Supermarket Sweep. No inflatable trolley (sadly!). Just a lot of miles, plenty of supermarkets, and hundreds of chats. Thanks to everyone who stopped for a chat, raised issues with me, or simply waved 👋
Everyone has an opinion ABOUT young people. But I want to hear FROM young people! If you're 13 - 24 and live in North Norfolk, I'd love to hear what's working, what isn't, and what you'd change. 👉 bit.ly/NNYoungPeopl... 🗣 Pls share the link with any young people you know in North Norfolk 🙏
