i did not think i would ever be in a position to say "yeah i saw them live at a hacker camp" about a eurovision entry "i took photos"

my only favorite thing about the test sirens in berlin today is it activated my little wolf 🐺 arooooooooo
Made some more fidgety tactile button (& a few dip switch) rings.
If you’ve sent me a text and I didn’t respond please know that I didn’t forget you, you’ll live on in my subconscious as a vague sense of dread forever
worst part of being neurodivergent as afab for me? PMDD at least after getting late diagnosed as adhd, i now know why every month my inner voice won't shut up trying to convince me to unlive myself, but still. this month's focus is on how i can't maintain long-term friendships. i hate this so much.
a week ago i completed my first bikepacking trip, 3 days/2 nights camping, ~300km along the Mosel River from the 🇩🇪🇱🇺🇫🇷 border to Koblenz! i did the first half of the trip solo! i'm hooked now on slow travel & carrying everything i need on my bike 😍🚴♀️
Packed and ready for my first bikepacking trip (~300km) tomorrow. Will be solo for the first night of camping!
Did a fun 32km gravel ride through the forest down to the Lahn & Rhein rivers yesterday. Preparing for my 1st bikepacking overnighter (200km+) this week. Didn't know I was capable of doing this stuff without the aid of an e-bike, have surprised myself with my grit & capacity to power up hills.
Did a wunderschön 55km gravel bike loop today, including 2 ferry crossings over the Rhine River.
sound art piece update: I finished wiring & mapping the 240 individual interactive plushy nodes. touch is detected using 8 Bela trill craft boards & nodejs. currently working on the sound design in puredata. will be bringing the project to @futurefrontend.bsky.social in Helsinki next month!
I submitted my application for german 🇩🇪 citizenship!!!! 🛂 🤞
I'm on my way to Berlin for @hackadayofficial.bsky.social Europe. Who else??? On Friday from 6pm I'll be hosting the Bring a Hack pre-event party at Jockel Biergarten, just ten minutes walk from the venue. Bring a project to show, stickers to swap, or just bring yourself 💖
I got a new gravel bike! I had an e-bike previously cuz i was convinced i was past my prime to cycle any kind of distance unassisted, but learned that's not true! Did first small ride (30.2km) on this beautiful bike to go jump in a cold lake!
i finally befriended a second pair of crows during the evening dog walk and i was able to hand feed one of them! i'm gonna nickname this duo, Udo & Ute. I'm hand feeding 2 different crows now!! 🐦⬛🐦⬛
Ernie is my sassy little crow friend that I hand feed everyday 😍✨
Working on art/sound project for my talk in Helsinki in May! Building a massive touch detection matrix (120 individual touch points so far) with four Trill Craft boards. I'm also running the C++ code (for detecting touch) in JS using Node-API ✨
Unfinished projects, procrastination, guilt. What if you could take some of those projects and finish them? These are the themes that @stephaniecodes.bsky.social and Sebastian Obel will examine at #FutureFrontend (27-28.5, Espoo, Finland). futurefrontend.com/speakers/#st...
i passed my B1 german language test with a grade of "sehr gut" (scored 293/300)!!!! ✨🎉 I'm in shocked i did that well! And i got my results 3.5 weeks after the test! Just waiting on the Einbürgerungstest results to apply for german citizenship 🤞
TIL there are ticks active in winter in northern Germany! 😱 Wilbur & I each had one on us after a walk at the campsite! Luckily they hadn't attached & wilbur takes bravecto.
icymi i'm in autistic burnout rn & trying to recover. proud of myself that i'm *trying* to take care of myself now (even if it's a painfully slow process). Took wilbur on a solo camping trip in nature this weekend despite my agoraphobic tendencies lately. i think he's enjoying it so far.
