I saw this interesting article about conversations on scrubs, wearing them outside the hospital and what they signify... and I looked at my line of work and thought about how I prefer them for comfort and security. What are your thoughts? doctorsonsocialmedia.com/wearing-scru...

The Debate Over Wearing Scrubs Outside Work Isn't Really About Scrubs | SoMeDocs: Doctors on Social Media

What do scrubs actually symbolize once a physician leaves the hospital? A new discussion-provoking article from SoMeDocs.

T3. I think it also means that for the person presenting, there must be respect for the number of hours of work and effort behind the presentation. Some higher ups are always looking for mistakes that they can focus on rather than the “meat” or outcome of the case.#healthxph

Let’s go to T3. #healthxph because at our national hospital, we get very complex cases, multidisciplinary conferences are needed often.

T3. It would mean no aggressive insults hurled or refraining from even microexpressions during conferences. Every person is entitled to share what they learned, no matter how obscure the fact, or how little their experience is. That still counts. We don’t need “wow” all the time. #healthxph

T2. I have a funny story... I had a full day of work, with back to back meetings, I thought I wouldn't have energy for a pickleball training session at the end of the day. Guess what, I attended that...had a lot of fun, AND ended up not sleeping until 4 in the morning! #EnergyBoost #healthxph

I'd like to start with T2... (but feel free to keep sharing your thoughts on T1) #healthxph

T2. In the mornings, personally, I like to water my plants... it always gives me an energy boost to see green things, and to feel the "life" of things growing. I always think the lifting of the bucket (i don't use a hose for plants further down), as a weight training activity. #healthxph

For everyone who's joining in, I had this inspo for this article from a recent illness, where I was having a hard time keeping my energy levels up... As a regular coffee drinker and a person who loves the outdoors, I got curious of how other people would keep themselves "stimulated"! #healthxph

T3. Perhaps I am being too simplistic about this, but we can qualitatively measure patient satisfaction via their honest feedback. They become free to express themselves when they feel comfortable with you and have good rapport. This feedback is priceless in terms of what you can do. #healthxph

Let's move on to T3. How do we measure patient satisfaction in terms of what truly matters to both patients and health care providers? #HealthXPH Monitoring and evaluation is important as a feedback mechanism to know we're headed the right direction and it gives our patients a voice.

T2. Supposedly, the more we immerse ourselves in EMRs, and scheduling via these apps, the more it should be that things get easier. If patients are able to follow instructions and get smooth processing with their requests, that would be better. #healthxph

Sharing here T2 even as we continue sharing T1. T2 is about how technology affects patient satisfaction. T2. What is the Role of Technology in Patient Satisfaction? #HealthXPH

I remember watching a reel about how nurses are kind, but they're not nice. Patients might be satisfied if they feel their wishes and requests are granted, but for health care providers patient satisfaction should be if their health care needs are met. Sometimes there can be mismatch. #HealthXPH

T1. I have a pretty simple metric … like, in therapy if they feel comfortable in your therapeutic relationship and they keep coming back because they feel that your work together is significant in bringing about positive change. And conversely, as the #HCW, you would want to cont collab. #healthxph

Helen Madamba@helenvmadamba.bsky.social · 4mo ago

Let's get the ball rolling with T1. How do we define patient satisfaction both from the patient side and the healthcare provider side? #healthXPH there might be a disconnect in perspectives so we dont want to make any assumptions.
