Psychological safety is being able to voice out your thoughts and ideas without fear of judgement or blame. It is difficult for multi-disciplinary conferences, but it is possible with an experienced facilitator or moderator. #HealthXPH

#healthxph Psychological safety means there’s no judgment and options are explored so that the best way forward for the patient can be agreed on amicably.

T3. I think it also means that for the person presenting, there must be respect for the number of hours of work and effort behind the presentation. Some higher ups are always looking for mistakes that they can focus on rather than the “meat” or outcome of the case.#healthxph

Let’s go to T3. #healthxph because at our national hospital, we get very complex cases, multidisciplinary conferences are needed often.

T3. Exactly why we have MS Con. For me I always try to look also beyond words. Their context, operating scenarios, challenges. Look for the common ground and start there. The HCS is unfortunately siloed into different services. #Healthxph

I included this question because I see it causes anxiety too for the trainees. what do I say… can the consultant back me up? what if the other services don’t agree? #healthxph

T3. It would mean no aggressive insults hurled or refraining from even microexpressions during conferences. Every person is entitled to share what they learned, no matter how obscure the fact, or how little their experience is. That still counts. We don’t need “wow” all the time. #healthxph
