I am a working writer who paints for fun. Unlike writing, I don't feel forced to make my painting good. I can watch telly while I paint. There's more stuff to clean up at the end. What am I supposed to do with all these crappy paintings??

Opshopping is a joy right now. Boomers are downsizing and binning all their fabulous quality collectibles. I bought these vintage costume pearl beads for $6 today from our local Vinnies. They make me feel all Bridgerton.
A man pushing a bike was walking across the pedestrian crossing and his pants fell down. This is the second time I have seen someone's pants fall down while they're crossing the road. I feel like seeing it for the third time means I get a wish or something.

Good morning Bluesky ☀️ My grandad told me he saw the Titanic - from the outset he warned all the people that the ship would sink, but nobody listened to him. He knew he was right and didn't give up. He warned them again & again, until eventually they kicked him out of the cinema.
Drama on the lawn today. Female blackbird yoinks up a fat worm and is promptly dive-bombed by a kōtare, who whips worm out of blackbird's beak, and zooms off with it. Blackbird highly disgruntled. Worm likely even more so.
