Recently, a GC lawyer named Akua told me on X to stay out of ladies' toilets. Fortunately, the places I frequent have other ideas.

The Gender Critical are trying to normalise the idea that trans + people are their birth sex. This is a cynical attempt to erase trans + people from existing. We must not let this happen. Trans women are women. Trans men are men. Non-binary (enby) people are valid and exist too.
STATEMENT: LABOUR PARTY NATIONAL WOMEN’S CONFERENCE For the past eight months, I have been challenging the Labour Party over the systematic discrimination faced by trans women in our Party. 1/12
A truly fabulous day yesterday at Brighton Trans Pride, with Unite the Union, where, in the afternoon, I got to do a short speech on the main stage and even meet the mayor.
THIS DESERVES REPOSTING… This was posted online quite a while ago, but the message remains powerful…
TransLucent has served formal legal notice on the EHRC and the SoS for Women and Equalities, setting out our intention to seek a judicial review of the EHRC’s Draft Code of Practice for Services, Public Functions and Associations. Please donate and share. translucent.org.uk/translucent-...

@stephpaton.bsky.social @stephrichards.bsky.social @profstephenwhittle.bsky.social @robinmoirawhite.bsky.social Interesting data on the turn of the NYT, stories, balance, attack, restriction of voices and the institutional changes they encompassed. bsky.app/profile/esqu...
I've spent the last two months putting together this exhaustive analysis of the New York Times coverage of trans people. It covers 3,242 articles over 12 years. In 2022, the NYT shifted towards a hostile stance towards trans people in their framing. www.thedissident.news/exclusive-ho...
Breaking: Following a meeting with the EHRC on Friday, TransLucent agreed to write to them EHRC on Sunday to reconfirm some of our concerns. A small section of this letter is redacted.

Draft Code of Practice on Services, public functions and associations - Early Day Motions - UK Parliament
That the draft Code of Practice for Services, public functions and associations, a copy of which was laid before this House on 21 May, be disapproved.

TransLucent was in Parliament yesterday. I was happy to attend and give many MPs an update on the numerous FOI investigations, which I kicked off nearly five years ago. Data now exists that there are no issues with trans women using single sex spaces.
The I'm concerned that the EHRC guidance isn't clear about whether trans people and their partners can still have their relationships fully respected and recognised in law. The right to family life should not be up for debate. #TransRights #EHRC
I AM NOT GOING QUIETLY: FIGHTING FOR A JUDICIAL REVIEW. The EHRC Draft Code of Practice was published on the 21st of May, & trans people, friends, family & human rights allies are horrified at the potential human rights issues. Consequently, I am seeking a Judicial Review against the code. 1/10

Please read Steph's thread & consider her request to write to your own MP/MSPs objecting to the imposition of this #EHRC Code that imo has not come from a place of inclusion, fairness nor human dignity. The UK does not support #Apartheid in any form. #Labour intend to introduce it on these shores.

If I really wanted to upset the transphobes on X, I would tell them Marks & Spencer bras are the best, that their fitting service is second to none, that their cubicles come with lockable doors and modesty curtains so the fitters never see your boobs..... but I wouldn't do that, would I?
Particularly valuable examination on the mess that #Labour have encouraged and in particular the endless disruption they've introduced to wider society creating a landscape with no end of litigation. drmikehill.substack.com/p/is-the-uk-...

They shouldn’t be approved. The claim that being trans inclusive is harassment doesn’t come from the Supreme Court, it comes from anti trans group’s lobbying materials. Putting it in the code is a betrayal of our human rights protections.
'We' are in the 40 day window where MPs can lodge objection to the new EHRC Guidance being implemented and overwriting EA2010 - Steph Richards is awaiting petitions office approval to fight. It should circulate soon I hope. bsky.app/profile/step...

Well done to @natashadevon.bsky.social for being a lone voice on @lbc.co.uk yesterday evening for inviting @stephrichards.bsky.social of @translucent.org.uk onto her radio programme and offering compassionate and forward-thinking support of trans+ people.

"This year’s Map shows a genuine courage in courtrooms and in leaders who are choosing to stand with their communities. And it also tells real and growing danger that cannot be underestimated. Every government in Europe must now answer which story they want to be part of" @khugendubel.bsky.social
Kishwer Falkner demonstrating: (1) she has no idea about the realities of life. (2) the state of the law after For Women Scotland is entirely unworkable, (3) the EHRC ‘Guidance’ is from cloud cuckoo land, and (4) you should brush your hair before appearing on TV.
Even Falkner admitted that making 🏳️⚧️ people use facilities of their birth-assigned sex was stupid, when pressed. And apparently trans people now need to go about suing services to ensure they have toilet provision, because EHRC won’t let them use the one that Faulkner admits would be “common sense”
Likes are nice, but votes are so much better - and I need 100s of them. This is not an LGBT award; it's for being an intersectional feminist and fighting for women with endometriosis. A huge "thank you" for the nomination - please vote. www.nationaldiversityawards.co.uk/awards-2026/...
