Update on George: I left him a small, wildlife friendly, snack by the door so he wouldn’t need to come inside and make a mess of the fruit bowl (again). As a precaution I hid all the fruit. Old boy is a believer in choice and likes bagels, apparently.

We got a new cat. Brushy tail, boopable nose, big, big eyes. At night it climbs in the window, samples the fruit bowl 🍈 🍇 and climbs right out again. It’s a possum. My kitchen is night time buffet to a possum. I guess it’s time to shut some windows… but it’s been named.

Trying to convince my kid that she has fully covered the relevant controls for her school experiment. I am dismissed. I know nothing of science. I point out that my profession designs experiments. I am dismissed. I know nothing of science.
In my case I was looking for a missing parenthesis for three hours. It was a misplaced comma. I want to believe those days are behind me and I am Now Too Good for this to happen. You all know that belief is delusional.
