Just a note about criticism. Disliking certain choices that an artist has made (“i wouldn’t have…”) is not at the job of a critic. Criticism is taking a work as it is and thinking through the whats and whys. Why did x choose to do this and what are the implications?

Guess I’ll be part of the Kaohly Her whisper campaign but a St. Paul knower confides maybe the police aren’t making shit up, they’re just the only department with the political cover to go public. Ask your St. Paul government friends if Her’s treatment of colleagues and underlings goes beyond SPPD.
Basically, the only way to do things is: build something cool, decide to get a payday and retire, sell it to a corporation, that then guts the thing you built. What if we created a system where it’s more lucrative to sell the business to employees than to a joy-destroyer?

Convinced Kaoly Her is going ahead with this encampment sweep this morning despite almost everyone in the know telling her to delay because she thinks she’d otherwise appear politically weak. It’s awful of the mayor to put vulnerable people at greater risk just to try and save her political career.
