Just back from #spiderman #brandnewday. Entertaining certainly, but I felt a bit “meh” in large parts. Will watch again though.

@warmovietheatre.com are you planning to cover my all time favourite “war” film Hannibal Brooks? (Even if the poster bizarrely omits the elephant?). Currently available free on Prime.
#postboxsaturday This one from #Marshside in #Kent. Think the cypher is Edward VII - but hard to tell given weathering and repaints. So probably 116 years (ish) old.

Well done #Labour! As for #Reform, they are now in full scale retreat - being consistently beaten in winnable byelections of all shapes and sizes. #Farage will win Clacton, but the ridicule it brings will still feel like defeat. And he hates being laughed at. news.sky.com/story/politi...

Stumbled across @warmovietheatre.com here yesterday and currently listening to my 4th episode already! Good fun - and a far wider remit than you might expect (“Independence Day” & 2024 “Civil War” included alongside “Sink the Bismark!” & “The Dam Busters”. Well worth a listen.
Not sure who did this but they should be arrested immediately.

This from the BBC website might be of interest to many (although BBC website doesn’t actually share to Bluesky off my app)… #bagpuss #ivortheengine
It was a clever first speech by #Burnham. Offered something tangible that few could argue with (housing homeless), offered action that day, promised more titbits to come, and a lure of bigger - and costed - plan at the Budget to keep markets calm. A good start, and showing improved comms strategy.
Collective noun? Perhaps a posse of former Prime Ministers? #primeminister #burnham
Another one bites the dust.
It may have taken him 73 years to get the top job, but #KingCharlesIII has made up for lost time. Today will be his 4th #PrimeMinister in just 5 years. Impressive work rate.
It shows just how bad things have got since dumb #Brexit vote a decade ago that political promises are now offering nothing more then #hope. But, given the options, I’ll take it please! #Burnham #UK “Burnham promises to 'bring back hope' as he becomes Labour leader” www.itv.com/news/2026-07...

What’s that, Dale? You want to give me an unconditional personal gift of £5million to do whatever I want with? Sure! I just need to fill out a form. If I didn’t declare it that would be silly.
