#BookSky - my summer reading is a bit different to a normal light breezy novel. It’s totally based on facts but reads like a novel, just like @jonathanfreedland.bsky.social previous one - The Escape Artist. It’s not morbid to read about what happened in Germany in the 30’s/40’s - it’s essential.
Another enjoyable pod with Matt & Paul this morning. I know we will all be glad when the season starts properly & the transfer window shuts! In the interim we can muse on who we would buy if we held the purse strings. Key for me is to try not to write anyone off especially before they sign! #nffc

Coming to the Splendour Festival at Wollaton Park this weekend? Please come by public transport or if you are driving use the official car park. The streets nearby have parking schemes & resident only access. Don’t risk a parking ticket. Also note there are gas works/temp lights on Bramcote Lane.
From 9 councils to 2. The right decision for both new councils which will have elections in May 2027 to decide who runs them. Will be a handover period of the old councils for 11 months with the 2 new councils starting properly & 9 old ones ending in April 2028. Names still to be decided.
If you can’t get to the seaside this summer, let it come to you. Nottingham’s beach returns soon to the Old Market Square with an impressive events program too. Everyone welcome. Shows the benefit of having a key city centre area with good transport links that can host things like this.

#nffc look to be building momentum behind the stadium development with their prior notice of plans to demolish 3 houses between Colwick Road and the PT Stand car park. They hope to demolish these in September meaning enabling works can start immediately PP is awarded. 🤞
