Figuring it all out. Starting with some simple things before moving onto more complicated business.
I have not needed to know my credit score for a while now but they checked it when I was buying a car. It was 877. I feel like I’m gaming the system somehow.
Beginning to organize and setup for CNC. There are so many bits…
I know what car I want. It’s bananas how now I need to dance and deal with a bunch of dealers on the same item to get the best price. It’s 2026. Why are we still doing this?
I need a new car… I’ve finally run my current one into the ground. Is the market awful?
Credits on Bond. It was solid and fun but shy of greatness. There were def moments of Bond but most of the action felt like Mission Impossible instead of Bond. Hard to explain in a single skeet.
My CNC machine was delivered. My metal bending era has begun 🙌🏼
Listed my old 2x16GB DDR5 ram for $250 and it sold instantly. The used market is thirsty
@robzacny.bsky.social have you considered just renting a car with manual transmission instead of virtually doing everything with a bunch of peripherals and video games? Maybe I haven’t gotten to this point of the discussion in the pod yet…
Made a friend a fridge magnet of their cats and they sent me a photo of it on their fridge. I then proceeded to turn their fridge into a pencil holder.
I haven’t been paying much attention lately but just now seeing that both SF3 and Mortal Kombat releases are just around the corner for MiSTer. That’s pretty cool 🙌🏼
Had a pretty deep scratch across my Switch 2 screen and was kicking myself for not putting on a protector. Found out you can remove the plastic film they put on top for shatter protection so removed that and replaced it with a tempered glass protector 🤷🏻♂️ Guess switch 2 had 1 extra life 😬
I made a Jimothy to creep around the office. It’s dangerous having a bunch of tools to make whatever dumb things that come to mind 😬
I want to go from 32GB to 64GB of ram. My mobo has 2 16GB sticks. I keep seeing that it’s better to get two 32GB sticks to replace the ones I have over adding two more. Is this actually true? My preference is to do a smaller cheaper upgrade but not at the cost of stability…
I’m a firm believer in talking shit about the dead or recently deceased. Let it be a warning for the living that if they are shitty in life, they will be remembered for being shitty in death.
During a playdate Amelie showed her friend the custom Minifigs we’ve been making and he asked for one of his fit from today. It was a crunch to do it before the end of the hang but we got it done 👍🏼
I think if you needed any more evidence that the cuts are shortsighted and focused on cutting as deep and as fast as possible with little regard for the future, this is pretty definitive. That engine felt like magic in some spots. A colossal waste of talent and resources.
THIS STUDIO MADE THE FAMOUS IDTECH ENGINE AND YOU'RE FORCING THEM TO USE FUCKING **UNREAL**??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????? FUCK YOU
I want to re-emphasize one part of this Xbox story: Half of the 3,200 cuts are happening today and half are happening in the next 12 months. In other words, even people who survived today's layoffs will have to spend the coming year wondering if they're going to be next.
Never be in a position where you regret how much extra work you put in after you get fired. They're paying you the least they think they can to keep you, you should be delivering the least you can to stay.
The book version of the dangerous playground structures of the 80s and 90s
